Welcome along to our newest car review! And this isn't any used car. This is Andys new shiny 2020 Toyota Corolla Touring Sports. Which replaces his 2013 BMW 320d Touring.

This is our best shot at making a film single handedly whilst covid-19 rules our planet. So please forgive the handheld footage!

Shout out to Ollie and the Toyota team from Swindon for getting the car to me as quick as they could, despite all the shenanigans!

More in depth videos on this car to come, like the self park, and the infotainment!

2020 Toyota Corolla 2 0 Touring Sports Review

Also many thanks to @Cristian Smochina for this :

explaining why this CVT is no ordinary CVT!

I viewed this video some months ago, in fact September 2020, whilst trying to decide on what car to purchase next. I've had Skoda's for some years and have always been more than satisfied with them. Your video made me have a closer look at the Toyota Corolla and eventually had a test drive. Well today I took possession of my new Toyota Corolla Touring Sports (estate) 2.0 hybrid. I am so impressed with this car and not just for the safety features that are standard across the range. I chose the white colour. It looks good and the style of the car is great. The interior is well finished with the black piano design and part leather upholstery. What completes it is the panoramic sunroof. Thank you for sharing your video and appropriate enthusiasm about this car. :)

Got one. I love it. 2.0l design 72 plate in obsidian blue. Gets 55mpg on the motorway and anywhere up to 75mpg urban on short trips. Has all the kit I need and nothing I don’t.

Hi all, am a taxi driver in Chelmsford. Started back in January this year driving a rented 2015 Prius Active costing me £225 a Loved the economy, but, the car itself has 100k miles taxing so is quite worn out seat-wise and a very spartan interior with not even a 12-volt charge port anywhere to be seen and only a 1 amp USB connection in the front of an old aftermarket AM FM JVC radio to plug my phone into. Have literally in the last couple of days, bought myself a 2019 1.8 Corolla, Design trim, with just under 18k on the clock.1 owner, full service history, and the car is immaculate inside and out! Will be picking it up at the end of April after I hand back the old Prius at the end of its rental I CAN'T WAIT! :-p

I'm confused. All this talk of leather, I have recently sat in several Corollas both excel and gr sport and the only leather in them was on my shoes. Where is the leather? All they had was plastic/vinyl?

Great review, fun to watch. Going to pick up 1.8 in precious silver colour in the beginning of January. I’ve been driving my father in-laws TS and fell in love with it. Brilliant and beautiful car inside out. The 1.8 does pretty good job accelerating up 70-80km/h, but from there upwards it does get slow. Most of the time I drive in the city and suburbs, maximum speed limit being 80 km/h, so for me the extra power didn’t feel worth investing over the better economy 1.8 delivers. Greetings from Finland!

Got to agree about the looks. One of these in hatchback form stares at me from the carpark at work. It's joined occasionally by a Lexus LC. Sometimes I don't work and instead contemplate beauty.

Toyota have done a great job with the new Corolla love the styling and the daddy of hybrids drove the hatchback a few months back got nearly 80 mpg not many diesels can get that impressive

I tried one of these with a 1.8 engine and didn’t find it lacking in squirt. We also have a rav4 hybrid for the family which is a bit wayward in the corners but nice and comfortable.

I stumbled across this video after researching the Corolla TS for ages and needed more owners reviews, I think after seeing this I’m ready to sign on the dotted line.
Fantastic video and content, keep up the great work. 👍

I have just ordered a new Excel Touring sport 2.0l with Pan roof to replace my BMW 320I (2012). I took my wife's Aygo in for a service and requested a test drive because I was impressed by the interior quality and looks. I was amazed at how smooth, frugal and spacious it was. When I looked at replacing my car with a BMW 330E estate, it would have cost me another £15K for a similar spec. Great cars.... just a shame I have to wait until it's built in November! Great review too!

Hi. I've tested a 2020 Corolla TS 2.0 Hybrid last week and I was very impressed by how the car drives. I then checked out couple of reviews and this great review in particular helped me decide that this will be our next family car. It has only 23000km and a great color called oxide-bronze. The deal is done and now we're waiting the dealership to prepare our car and deliver it sometime next week. Thank you Andy once again for this review and greeting from Sweden.

Can you get a full size spare wheel in the boot?

Like that this car's styling is not as 'bat crazy' as the Prius which I was considering at one point; but just couldn't deal with how it looks. The styling is much better on this and that front does look pretty good. Will consider this car when it come around to replacing my current daily driver. Hope to see the Chaps back together soon. Do love the style and humour of your videos; thanks for the information and entertainment.

Gearbox in that car is not a cvt. It is ecvt that is totally different thing.

mind blowing why they don't offer this in the US. toyota is making a mistake with stigma that american's hate wagons and love sedans. crossover and small SUVs dominate the market here because they can't get it through their head that more wagons are needed.
