👇👇👇 [Expand for the summary] 👇👇👇

Welcome to today’s video on Synthetic Division. These questions are actually really simple, but people have a hard time / get them wrong because they don’t recognize when to use certain things. In this video, we will go over four things:
1. What you need to know
2. What to expect
3. How to recognize Synthetic division Questions
4. How to solve them

Synthetic Division:
What you need to know -
1. Long division / Synthetic division
2. Remainder theorem (Optional)

How to recognize - The question has polynomial over polynomial, or equation on top of the equation.
- If so, it’s either factoring & simplify, or Synthetic division
- However, always synthetic division if the choices have remainders in them.

What to be aware of - Make sure master how to do synthetic division. People often make silly mistakes here and get the wrong answer.

Hope you guys found the video helpful and I will see you on the next one! If you have any questions or comments or concerns, leave them in the comment box down below.

Thanks for watching and good luck on the exam!

anyone whos watching this during a time where you can now use desmos calculator: just plug the fraction into desmos, and then type into desmos each answer choice and see which one is exactly identical to your original fraction. should take about 30 seconds or so

I love how you break down each type of question that appears in the SAT, it really boosts my confidence. I really hope you can make videos for all types of questions. Thanks bro

More appropriately, this it just called "long division" (the video title has apparently been updated). "synthetic" division is a shortcut using the coefficients, not shown here

You never fail to enlighten us with the exact percentage of a problem being a specific type of problem. Not a 100% chance, not a 110% chance not an "it will absolutely be....". No, there's "exactly 157% chance it's gonna be synthetic division" omggg😂 in the other video there was like a 115% chance of the expression being system of equations or smth like that and then a 130% chance it was a parabola question🤣 if only I could predict my chances of getting a good score like that lol

The relief I felt when you said there is a shorter method 😂. Thank you so much, definitely using this tip

I've found this thing pretty helpful as my calculations are pretty quick: i put in x=1 and then see which values match. Haven't gotten a single synthetic division que wrong yet

Guys you can also use PIYON, or plug in your own number, you can start with 2 but never use 1, 0, or -1. You plug in your selceted number into both equations (the given and the options) with x and whichever option is equal to what your given function both using the same value is the correct option. Basically substitute x with the same number for eveything and the two results that match doing this are equal. this works for 12 and 15 shown in 2:12 as well.

I just choose a random number like 2 and use it for all choices and see which one matches with the eq in the qs

I couldn’t solve question 12 (I got another answer) is there a place where I can find how to solve it ?
And just wondering if you have an updated concept summary for this March SAT ?
Love your content and what you do for dreamers like us, keep it up 🤝
