I am a law student and I have been doing active-recall for 4 years now and my grades improved tremendously (top of my class for two years straight), so it really does work in any field. But I study throughout the year, I read the class first and then try to recall everything without the notes and then repeat it the next day, two days later and a week later etc.

I’ve seen hundreds of videos about active recall and space repetition and honestly, this is the first time I really understand what does terms mean and how to apply them into my actual learning process. THANK YOUUUU!!

As someone who is just starting college and has no one to really look up to for college techniques, to teach me how to study and be effective; I appreciate this. I want to be the first to graduate in my family.

I did something similar in Nursing School and was top 5 in my graduating class. Omg! I didn't even really know the science behind the method. I need to show this to my kids!

I watched this video in 2021 when I was struggling with my schoolwork (in college). I had to come back to make this comment. For anyone who isn't sure about this method, trust me. It works. My grades improved COMPLETELY, and now I'm a graduate, thanks to active recall, and Nellah😁😁 Thank you girl!

I did this for my programme and didn't even know that this was a thing. My grades improved so much when I implemented this.

I'm going to start practicing active learning immediately. I say "practicing" because obviously this isn't easy, and it'll take practice to even come close to doing it right. But it certainly seems worth the while. Thanks for introducing it to me!

1st year med student here, Quick tip for everyone. When you make a google sheet for this, you can make a 1st column on the left for "Status" and make it a drop down menu through "Data Validation". I made mine "1, 2, or 3" and they correspond with Red, Yellow, Green. You can then sort by the question status so maybe you only want to see yellow and red questions and not green, it makes your experience much neater. You can also do conditional formatting to make say the question and answer rows be the color you choose, so it'll actually highlight for you when you select "1" or "2" for example. Good luck all! We can do it!
