Huawei looks much better than the LG V30 no competition, LG back looks like a refrigerator. The Huawei is more pleasing to the eye, The LG is nice but to me next to the Huawei it just looks ugly.

Why don't you just use a stock Android theme and icons? it changes the icons systemwide.

They included that type of case because they want you to have a slim case that feels good and not a bulky case that feels uncomfortable. I'm sure you don't want to have a case that feels uncomfortable on your phone when its in your hand.
