Also SATA M.2 SSD that has B and M keys on both sides.

Thank you very much for your video. My Dell Inspiron 5582 laptop died and I wanted to pull the hard drive. I've never seen a SSD hard drive this small!!! I have been scrubbing the internet to find an enclosure for it.... PCIe NVMe 2230 reader. I found some, but you are the first one that I saw actually put a 2230 inside one!!! I'm grateful I finally found your video.

Thanks for verifying that while an M.2 SATA drive has both the notch for a B and M key, the header may only have the B key and omit the M key. This really had me concerned on the drive header on my motherboard. Thank you.

Just sharing, when it comes to SSD, 3 criteria u guys should know:

1. Form factor : 2.5" and M.2
2. Interface/slot/port : SATA and PCIe
3. Protocol : SATA and NVME

When chosing a M2 sata use a bigger size than before while they perform a little bit better. They noticed that in tests with same type/brand. If possible use a NVMe, otherwise a bigger size M2 sata.

PLEASE DONT USE TAPE to hold your ssd it literally has a screw hole for a reason.
USE A DAMM SCREW

brother. on the 1st adapter, you don't need tape. the brass nub at the end unscrews, you move it to the right hole, and the end of the drive slots into it, then you screw it back in securing the drive. Taping an nvme is a horrible idea.

Is it possable to cut down a 2280 to a 2230 size? From what I see it looks like all the components would be undamaged. The traces are for optional testing pads and the screw hole ground.. I do wounder.. I have a 1TB drive I got for free.. I would be willing to find out.

Please for the love of God do not tape a SSD to the adapter. The adapter should come with a stand off and screw to properly install that drive. If not then please also purchase a computer stand off and screw when getting this adapter.

Im confused, so M Key SSDs are only compatible to M Slots? Or could they be used in B+M Slots?

Helpful video, but my little SSD is not like any of these. It has "128GB SDNEP 655-1837C" on it, and also SD6PQ4M-128G-1021" on it. There is also a model #: F13344608J1FND5CA. Any idea what mine is??
