Kingdom Hearts Union X has hit it's Finale, the fate of many characters have been revealed, but the most puzzling is the final fate of Brain. Here is what could have happened to him after the events of Kingdom Hearts

Brain's Fate is a mysterious one from the Kingdom Hearts Union X Finale, but lets see if we can make sense of it!

Something that I noticed is that Sigurd introduced Ephemer to Brain like he was new to him. That means that he didn't know the connection between Brain and Ephemer. This can only mean that him showing up there was fortold by someone else other than Ephemer. That on top of the only person who could have had the hat being Luxu must mean that Luxu is the reason why Brain is in Scala.

I think you misinterpreted how Luxu spoke to Brain, I think he meant “It’s sad that you’re thinking that your life ends here” instead of being sinister. I think Luxu needed Brain to make it out so he explained to Brain what can be done like the MoM did with darkness regarding the book and memories. And Luxu wouldn’t need to “send Brains original body” through time because the medium was in scala, and Luxu was still alive and had the memories to bring him back.

HMK what luxu says to brain means that’s he think it would be a shame if his life ends at that point, not in a sinister way so I think he helps brain

Given Luxu has done everything he can to protect his kids, something tells me that what he did with Luxu was a "this works out for me and I can save you" situation.

This is the first step of luxus betrayal of the MoM. This is why he is the traitor, another translation to the convo between brain nf luxu says "it'd be a shame to lose you now" he definitely sent his heart forward so that he could be around during the time when the masters return. Brain is very important to sora and the others victory

I don't know why but Sigurd's line about "it was decided you would come here today" makes me think that a really big event triggered Brain's return, e.g. Ephemer's death, maybe?

Sigard having the hat seemingly out of nowhere and knowing all about Brain seems to imply that Sigard is Luxu's new body.

Good thing you explained that. A lot of people were lost when it came to two brains. Now that we know why brain exists in Scala ad caelum, im beginning to theorize that he could be the old man that takes care of baby xehanort. Also, im almost leaning back towards ava being subject x again even though we have a lot of clues expecting skuld to be. We know the reports say subject x has black hair, we know skuld has black hair, but we see a woman who is the mother of xehanort giving him up to the old man-and looks very similar to skuld. We don't know what ava looks like underneath her mask. And to back that theory up, the report stated that subject x constantly mumbled the words, "may your heart be your guiding key..." skuld hasn't really said the famous keyblade wielder line but ava has for sure, that alone gives me a small bit of hope thinking that subject x is ava.
Back to the old man that takes care of baby xehanort, I believe brain lives his life, eventually has his grandson eraqus while taking in baby xehanort thus making them 'brothers from another mother ' thus giving a reason why they're close with each other and not knowing why, and thus ending the character arc for the union leaders. However, if any of these theories I stated were true, how would ava come into the picture?? If I'm not mistaken, all pods were used up;
Ven, lauriam, Elrena and maleficent go to their respective future games.
Ephemer and skuld used the pods twice, but before the second time, Ephemer takes one last look at the pod in the corner and continues to depart (which should be the one brain used to go to Scala ad caelum) but ephemer's pod ended up staying behind in the ruins of daybreak town. Perhaps Ephemer saved the pod while he was rebuilding the world to have it be used again when needed and ava might have found her way and took that opportunity for "ava had her own mission and she carried it out."

I know, it's way out there and probably overanalyzing everything. I can't wait for dark road to continue so we'll have more information confirmed before we go into phase 2

I think Luxu took it upon himself to save Ava's kids. Does anyone want to talk about some examples other than Brain where Luxu successfully interfered enough to protect the main cast of dandelions? I want to hear what holes can be put in my idea :)

What I noticed trying to connects the many dots we have behind us is that in the world of Verum Rex Yozora was fighting against big robots. We even fought them as Sora. And we saw heartless using them too. I think that maybe the MoM is trying to lure Darkness to have "new" vessels instead of people.

In the Big Hero world we learnt that robots can have (or develop) hearts too. All of this cannot be just a mere coincidence.

If the problem is that Darkness needs to have a form to be defeated maybe that form does not necessary need to be human at all. Maybe it can be replaced by mechanical beings and then you have solved one of the biggest problems in the KH world.

Plus the replicas and the memories stored in the data world could be the way for Light to "revive" all the sleeping keyblade weilders.

I think that if this is close to the truth it could be a magnificent plan to be honest and maybe that is the true reason why the MoM needs to go and see Quadratum.
