Geography of My Music Collection. What States & Countries Have the Most Artists?

Показать описание
From my large music collection of nearly 3,000 albums, I determine which states and countries have the most artists from there and rank them accordingly. There are about 900 different artists in the collection, and they come from all over the US and world. Let's find out which state and country has the most musicians from there.

That's one hell of a collection Kyle! Much respect for how wide ranging and eclectic it is too! Also, just as a biased Tennessee homer I can't help but point out that a lot of those artists you named for other states, such as BB King, Elvis, Johnny Cash, and The Black Keys, could also be named for Tennessee as well because they've all both lived major portions of their lives in Tennessee and recorded a great deal of material here. But ya know, I guess we can share with Arkansas and Mississippi. 😁😁

I'm so glad that you know who King Gizzard is! I just started getting into Steely Dan like 2 months ago and I'm not lying, they're already one of my favorite bands ever. I've listened to Can't Buy a Thrill and Aja at least 10 times each in the last couple months

I’ve known for a long time you’d be a great hang, this just confirms it

Nice! Deadheads always have an open mind to a wide range of diverse musical interests. Great idea and thanks for sharing!

I do, in fact, organize my roughly 4, 000 CDs by geography. They are mainly classical CDs, and I store them with labels like “Germany, ” “England, ” and “Russia.” Within each country I organize them chronologically by composer.

First off, Doolittle is a great choice for a favorite album. Absolutely one of the best rock records ever made

If you want an artist to check out from Idaho, I'd definitely reccomend Built to Spill. "Perfect From Now On" is an amazing indie rock album

Also, I thought Emperor was a Norwegian band

Great video! I'm a huge metalhead, and while I appreciate metal from all around the world, my favorite bands come from Sweden. Hypocrisy, In Flames, The Haunted, Soilwork and Meshuggah are some of my favorites.

Also, thanks for mentioning Pantera. The legacy of that band should never die! Forever Stronger Than All!

*Emperor are Norwegian. Great video nonetheless. Clearly, you are a big fan of music. I can talk about music 24/7. I've travelled to 4 continents to see my favourite bands from San Francisco, CA to Tokyo, Japan. Just the other day I got back from yet another road trip across England, the Netherlands and Germany where I saw 30 bands in total.

Very impressed that you are a fan of Australian band Radio Birdman.
Guitarist Deniz Tek is from Ann Arbor he also played with many Michigan punk rock bands like The Stooges and the MC5. Very interesting guy.
Also good to see you are a fan of King Gizzard.

Well done, especially the bridge from one place to the next. Reminds me of John Cusack's organizing his records autobiographically in High Fidelity. Right there with you on Rush. After seeing Geddy Lee on his book tour, I think he would really like this video.

Never would have thought the geography king would know about black metal lol. Hey buddy if you’re reading this and don’t know them, check out Ulver. Their old stuff is black metal but their more recent stuff is a very unique style of electronic/goth music and I love em

The lyrical transitions from state to state (or country) were cracking me up good. I especially liked the PMA reference after Washington DC. And I knew you had a record or two from Phish hiding in there! I've been pestering you about that for the entirety of your channel, haha! ✌️💀⚡️🌹
I'll be back later with a more strongly worded rebuttal of your taste in tunes, but I have to rewatch this video and take notes. 😉
(We're starting with Utah . . . )
