I'm in Thailand rn, and just saw one of these cuties hold by a boy on the beach the other day, trying to get money on photos taken with the poor soul. I actually wanted to take one myself today, but after seeing this post, realising the cruelty behind this "cute act", I'm horrified. :(((

I remember watching an old Slavic movie from the 80s about WW2, the events were about a boy and his struggle through the occupation of Nazi Germany within what is now Ukraine. It was well done for the 80s but kind of terrifying in its own sense. An SS officer in the movie had a Slow Loris as a pet and its possession showed a point, though on the outside these creatures are innocent and fluffy they are quite poisonous, the same goes for its owners, though they seem like they’re doing no wrong they are actually poisonous people. And the movie portrayed that very well.

I live in west java, Java island, it sadden me that back then i have no idea about this animal when ironically this very island is (or used to be) their natural habitat i thought it was sloth or maybe koala, silly right? How in the world koala cross the Indian Ocean 😂, the only encounter i've had with this unlucky animal was when i was passingby my neighborhood and people throwing rocks to a slow loris hanging on cables hoping this guy move to the nearby tree branches to avoid being electrocuted
