Learned Optimism by Martin Seligman - Animated Book Review

In this video, Life Skills explains Learned Optimism, a book written by Martin Seligman that explains depression, learned helplessness, and how explanatory styles affect your success. Honestly, this book was one of the top 10 that I've read this year and was definitely a life-changer. Martin Seligman was one of the first pyschologists to start researching and spreading positive psychology ideas, which doesn't focus on depression and mental illness.

Man you both deserve great success.

Practical psychology, I always respected you but today you just increased that respect level to a new height with this collab.
I really feel good that you are trying to help people that are really willing to help themselves. All the best to both of you

It all comes down to what are you looking for in your life: the good or the bad. Either way, you will find it.

Reminds me of my life :p I used to be lazy and I wasn't getting myself anywhere. But I read the book 'The Game' and from that, I learned that anyone can become better at anything, just by trying and not giving up. The book showed me that you have to challenge yourself to get yourself somewhere. Now, I'm doing a university masters, working one day per week as a chatbot specialist, setting up a student restaurant and trying to run my own YouTube-channel. :)

Keep on challenging yourself guys!

I really really optimistic now after watching your video. It's because I choose to be positive, happy and cheerful!

If you choose to take credit for the good things in life, I believe you must take responsibility for the bad things as well. Constantly ignoring the patterns of bad things by putting them off as not "your fault" is the fastest way to invite more tragedy into your life.

I do agree on the points of taking action and feeling inspired towards something bigger then yourself. I just encourage you to be prepared for the bad as it WILL come, and you CAN avoid it, ONLY through taking responsibility. (lots of things are out of our control in life, suffering is inevitable I'm not saying you must take responsibility for everything. Just as much as you can.)
