The carbon footprint of animals is a stupid excuse to not eat animal protein. Animals were here in abundance long before people were.

Sugar in dairy products? Depends on which ones you choose. I did best using Greek yogurt and cottage cheese, reserving liquid milk for making sauces and custards.

I did much better with weight loss on Dukan than any other diet, plus maintained my loss very well for many months.

It's basically a healthy lifetime change, the way anyone should eat: moderate carbs, no added sugar/fat and homemade no processed food. It's such a shame this type of "diet" is seen as extreme restriction when it really is the healthy way to eat.

I was on the Dukan diet from March 2011-July 2012. I lost 50lbs and kept it off for almost 6 months once I reached the 50lb mark. I wanted to lose more but my weight plateaued and I couldn't lose anymore. I was absolutely miserable on the diet after I hit the 50lb mark because I had no energy, was constipated a lot of the times, and just feeling like there was no point to continue with it if I couldn't lose anymore weight.

I also went extreme with the diet and not adding in more carbs as the diet suggested. Even if I were to do the diet correctly, I feel like it still wouldn't be sustainable for long term because of the lack of fat and carbs. It's great for losing weight quickly but not as a long term solution.

That's just my take on it.

This looks like a systematic version of Atkins. Eating Low carb but minimal processed foods works for weight loss. But a lot of people don’t want to eat this way long term and sometimes revert to bad habits, gaining weight back.

It sounds so tasteless. Plus a lot of people dislike meat. Red meat every day is a bad diet. Just do your intermittent fasting and work out one day yes one day no. Trust me. This is it. Massive weight loss.
