Dude I’m doing the same thing tomorrow. Just got off the phone with xfinity. They’d said they can’t lower the bill. Bye 👋. Great video

I use TMHI, I've had it about 6 months now and it's working great for me so far no issues with connectivity or uptime everything from zoom meetings to streaming, gaming ( I'm not a hard core gamer) uploading content and downloading files works extremely well! definitely worth ditching over priced and under performing cable internet for ( as long as your area has a decent T-Mobile signal)

Excellent video and update. I did the same thing and completely dropped Xfinity Internet and DirectTV. Wireless 5G Internet from T-Mobile throughput for me is consistently 400 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. So happy I made the moves.

I had a similar experience with Comcast Xfinity. I have had them since 2009. Nov. 19, 2021 I received literature from them regarding rate increases as of Jan. 2022. I, too, had the basic which totaled $64.99 a month but would be going up to $95 per month and that did it for me. I called them but they couldn't do anything for me so I thanked them and hung up. I went right online and researched T-Mobile 5G Home Internet's availability where I lived. It was and I proceeded to call the number listed. The rep. was so good, I bought their Alcatel Hotspot device too. It would have been good had we lost electricity but I never did use it. It was only $5 a month for it but I have since taken off my account since I never had the use for it. I have 3 bars of signal strength consistently and my speeds are close to 200 mbps and is good for streaming 4K content, video conferencing and gaming on many devices at the same time. After a year, you will see how much money you saved by going to T-Mobile.

Great review - I also ditched Comcast for T-Mobile Home Internet, and have had that service for a few months now. Just today I signed up for YouTubeTV using T-Mobile's offer of $10 off a month for a year, so that's currently $54.99 + tax, and the T-Mobile Home Internet is $40 a month (got a $10 a month reduction on that from T-Mobile). So my monthly cost is a little less than $100 a month whereas Comcast had been charging me over $80 a month just for internet service. (I cancelled all TV service a few years ago after the rate for TV and Internet had hit about $200 a month. Ridiculous. Never going back to Comcast.

I bought into YouTube TV about three years ago and haven't looked back since. The cable companies will never get another dime of my money for television programming. However, I still use Spectrum for internet access because there just isn't another competitor with a lower price. I am a Verizon Wireless customer and was pretty jazzed up about Verizon 5G Home Internet. About two months ago, I signed up for the 30-day trial to see if I could dump Spectrum, and I was really pulling for Verizon's Home Internet. I set the unit next to an exterior wall in my office and found that the signal strength was good to excellent, but I was disappointed that throughout the house the best I could get was fair. The only way to correct this would be to purchase an extender to the tune of $100+. My error (don't know why I didn't realize this at the time) was in not setting up the mesh router I currently own with the Verizon device. Had I done that, I am sure I would have been able to deep six Spectrum. Bottom line is that I will be getting rid of Spectrum within the week.

Sweet review! I have AT&T internet and for TV we use free services. For premium services we use Hulu and Disney+. We had ditched Netflix for a couple years, but we just signed up with them again. Now that we have 3 paid services again, it might be time to talk to my wife and decide if we can put Hulu or Disney+ on pause for a bit. I'm just not sure we need all three. 🤔

Please remember one thing about YouTube TV. You can take anywhere you want . Plus you can put it in your bathroom. And can put a fire stick in your pocket. I hate Comcast with a Passion. You can get a 10 dollar discount on YouTube. With T-Mobile service. Or you can get Philo’s 10 dollars off.

Cut concast cause price went from 105 to 210 a month and went to You Tube TV. U tube kept going up, loved it but it reminded me of cable with the price hikes. Currently I have TMO internet and a IPTV that saves me around 130 a month and glad I made the move.

Like you, I will kit be held hostage by anyone for anything. I told Comcast last year, that one more increase and I'm done. So about 4 months prior to my one year increase cycle, I got T-mobile internet. It was incredibly easy to set up, speeds were as good to, actually faster than Comcast, and other than a bad gateway, I've had zero issues. I'm sure that you must be in an area with a good signal. So I tested the T-mobile internet for 4 months, and was sold. I left Comcast and am now ready to leave their TV service too. By the way, when my gateway failed, T-mobile had a new one at my door the very next day. THAT'S SERVICE. So try tmo. I've got 8 devices running on it with no issues.

Ed, thanks for the review. I will take the opposing argument but I'll preface this by stating that you are 100% correct and right on target and accurate throughout your review.
Here are my reasons for taking the opposite side....
I did pretty much everything the same as you except I tried the Verizon 5G home internet which I liked overall but did notice inconsistent speeds. I was going to keep it but when I called Comcast to cancel, they offered a very similar package for two years so I decided to stay.
I also have been a Youtube TV subscriber for the last 5 months. My experience has not been as favorable as yours. I wanted to love it but I have several issues during this time and their tech support is horrible.
Issues I have seen are:
1) Poor resolution and motion issues which viewing live sports
2) A Jittery picture which watching various tv shows and networks
3) Audio sync issues
When you are finally able to figure out how to get live support, it's a series of having to send them screen shots and video clip recordings only to have them tell you the issue has been escalated which leads absolutely nowhere.
I'll say this about Comcast. You can get a solid package (when they actually do honor what was promised) and they will work to resolve any technical issues even though the process can be extremely frustrating and a test of intestinal fortitude. I have come full circle and realized that there is certainly no perfect world solution for TV and internet providers but to me if you are willing and able to play their games and deal with the BS then Comcast still offers the best overall service. BUT those are BIG IFs because they can be absolutely infuriating.

Hope this helps those who are on the fence to make a careful decision. The good thing you can always reverse course and try various services until you find what works best for you. Good Luck.

you all so nice and i appreciate your help. right now my problem is that comcast is
effectively holding me hostage. i can not use my telephone to cancel because my
phone went dead when i tried. my emails never seem to be answered. i use a friends
phone (and they are getting really tired of me) to try to cancel. i even asked a sister who lives is London and another sister in Mississippi and another (i have a multiplicity of sisters) to try and cancel for me but it turns out distant sisters have no clout.
as i keep saying, its like a wheel within a wheel no beginning no ending.
thanks for listing my rants. ii was never one to sit silengly and accept things.

I just cut ties with Xfinity. They recently increased my bill from $168 to $186. That does not include movies. When I started with Xfinity, it was $112 back in 2019. I'm subscribing to Google Fiber here in Missouri. $70 for Wifi. I'm pretty sure Google Fiber isn't offered in every state.

My guy, I'm in the Sacramento server region too and I pay 180 for 400mbp/s download, and 125 channels and I still think I'm paying way too much. I'm glad you switched, I'm on my way out. Probably Verizon, just because I already have their phone service and I can probably get a bundle discount or something.

I just returned my T-Mobile 5G home internet modem. After 3 weeks of test driving, the service was not at a high level of availability. When it did work, I was getting 100 to 145 MBPS. So, when it works, it worked well. But I need it when I need it. T-Mobile’s service works when you have a good signal and the 5G network is not heavily in use at the time. Location is everything. A suggestion to all - if you’re going to consider T-Mobile 5G home internet, don’t dump your current ISP. You might have to go back to it if it doesn’t work out. That’ll save you a lot of hassle. I’ve been streaming YouTube TV for several years now using Amazon Fire Stick. YouTube TV is very heavy on sports. I love having local channels combined with the other streaming channels and the flexibility of adding services, which also increases your viewing costs. In the end though streaming blows away cable. I’m giving up $80 a month for 100MB service - just internet. No phone, no cable. I think it’s too much. But if you go with another ISP with that introductory rate of $19.99 or whatever it is, they’ll Jack the rate up over time. I’m wondering how long T-Mobile will honor the $50 monthly service. It’s got to go up sometime. Everything does.
