Very good information about the differences between the 77 & 78 versions. Unfortunately the new company using the Mego name opted to make 14 inch figures instead of the popular 12.5 inch figures of yesteryear. Hopefully another company will one day redo this great 12.5 inch line of figures.

I think they both look just as good it's just I prefer a more thinner look. and I think spider man should be more thine and kinky looking.

hI, i got one 1978 just now from Ebay and the left arm is completely red, and the right forearm is transparetn soft plasti c. have you ever seen that?

Wait you have the originals! Damn bro those have gotta worth something right? I'd go with the 77 only because it looks more MEGO imo rhen rhe action figure look of the 78. Very cool figure and review bro.
