When I was 6 I had to go to the hospital to have my tonsils removed. My mom took me to Kmart and let me pick out one toy to take with me. I picked the 12 inch Hulk. I still have him too.

My great grandmother was into crocheting and lived with us when I was little. Somehow my brother and I lost The Hulk's pants so we got Nanni to knit him a new pair out of this weird black/white zebra pattern. Wish I had a photo of that.

I’m from Perú. My parents bought me the Basa Hulk in a popular fair in the 80s. Box was exactly the same as Mego’s. I’ve seen the boxes of the other Basa Mego figures except Hulk’s. It will be a great find to have one nowadays.

So much nostalgic goodness in this short video! I met my best friend when as a child I saw him playing with a Remco Energized Spiderman. The number 1 toy I most wanted (but never got) as a child, was the 12 inch Mego Hulk. I always called him the 'doll' Hulk. I dreamed of that thing for so long. I had 12 inch Mego Magnetic Batman and Robin, and the 8 inch Spiderman. One day at a market I saw two die-cast Magnetic superhero toys - Hulk and Spiderman, and begged my dad to let me get one, and even though I loved Spiderman more, I went with the Hulk - something about getting a Hulk figure, and him being bigger, made him the only choice. He's one of the few childhood toys I no longer have, and wouldn't you just know it - he's rare and expensive.

I have long since obtained a 12 inch Mego Hulk, then another fixer-upper. I got the 8 inch one last year, and I was baffled as to why he was smaller than the other 8 inch figs. Not that it matters - Hulk was brilliant in both scales, and in my opinion, he was the best Superhero figure (doll?) they ever made.

PS: If they made the 'skinny' Hulk like the prototype, you could have recreated the classic '2 Hulks' episode from the TV show!

The 12 inch Mego Incredible Hulk figure was one of the ones I wanted as a kid. I saw it at the local K Mart store, but my mom wouldn't let me have it since I already had the 8 inch Hulk figure. During my college years, I traded my Mego Fantastic Four figures for the 12 inch Hulk, but he had no torn shirt. But last year, I got a repro of the white torn shirt, so now, my Mego 12 inch Hulk is complete. He is one of 2 Hulk figures that reminds me of Lou Ferrigno, the other a small rubber Hulk figure that also came out in 1978. Thanks for this great video!!

I loved this figure, I remember my dad coming in with 2 one for me and one for my brother, it was so awesome, a year later I put my hulk inside this big brown Tonka jeep and I went to town in the street, and then I stepped on a damn rock and messed my arm up, the jeep had a big scratch, but what really hurt was hulk had half of his face and head missing, and cried that day

Great video. Great action figure. My Friend Sean had one and when I visited Him. His Mom brought Him down with the bionic Bigfoot and We had a battle royal. Memory from 1978 😀👍❤🇨🇦🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏🎉🎉💯💯

OMG yep I had the 12inch fully possible Hulk action figure, back in the day. I was a real Hulk fan too.
Thanks Mom.
Great video insight too.

Why was Lou Ferigno’s likeness was never used? That’s the real hulk figure I would love to have.

I used to hang out at an antique toy shop in the early 90s and worked out a layaway for this MIB with the owner. My parents eventually finished the payments and surprised me with it on Christmas. It's my second favorite depiction of Hulk from that time period, next to the Rage Cage version.

I had one of these when I was 5 or 6 back in 1980/1981 in Toronto Canada. I remember always bringing him to my Mom to untangle the fly away action plastic wires lol. Great memories.

My Favorite Hulk Mego doll since I was a little boy in 1980 during the TV show era! My parents got it for my 3rd birthday! Love the box and logos images of the hulk! I got a few of them on the box for my hulk collection! I’m the biggest hulk collector in Miami, Fl.

Neighbors had this big guy. My brother and I had Superman, so they would go on adventures together. Strange that while I never read the comics or had any of the figures, I always liked the Incredible Hulk Mego and the cartoons.

Yep I had 2 of these. First one had a traumatic leg dismemberment after an experimental jump out of my bedroom window. Probably my favourite toy as a kid.

Brian, you're so right about the sizing...my 12" Hulk routinely pummeled my 8" Spidey and Reed Richards!

Awesome Hulk~~ I sadly never got one for Christmas or my birthday (which of course was 5 days later, lol). Lately I have been on a G.I. Joe Adventure Team kick (1970-1976) and it's has been a "Blast".

Had this one plus the stretch figure plus Rage Cage Hulk. We were very much a Hulk household. We had that hulk bust bank and I also remember having the muscle plastic vest you were supposed to put on under your shirt and pump up to simulate a Hulk-out 😃

I did not have him. Or the 8" Hulk. As you say, he wasn't anywhere near the household name he would be after the show came out, and I, at the time, was much more of a DC kid. And by the time the show did come out, Star Wars had also come out and kind of taken over my toy buying life. Ultimately, I didn't have any of the Mego 12" figures and was barely aware of them. But I love that commercial and jingle done to almost the same tune as the 60's Spider-Man cartoon theme song. Lol!

Awesome video, my friend! I really enjoy your channel! This is my favorite mego figure of all time! I recieved this Hulk when I was about 5 or 6 years old. My uncle originally had it as a child and he passed it on to me. I grew up in the 90's but I still loved this figure and I still have it displayed on my shelf. So many great memories playing with him and watching reruns of the old Lou Ferigno show. I always used him as Lou and made him beat up all my G.I. Joes. Lol.
