The BACK ROUTE No One Talks About | British Columbia Van Life

As always we’re on the move and, this time, down our last back road before taking some time away from Van Life. Join us in the BC Interior as we navigate among BC's many giants and travel back to our home and family. Nestle into a crackling campfire with us or join Meg as she laughs her head off watching Alex attempt to take a cold dip in a glacier-fed lake. It's all part of the van life road and what Alex calls our "minimalist lifestyle centered around travel, rooted in the desire to live a life abundant in experiences, memories, and the freedom to relish simple pleasures."

As always, thanks for watching.

Really enjoyed this one guys! I can safely say I fully understand the difficulty of making it past that midway point whilst doing your polar dip 🤣. Hope to see you out there one day. Cheers !

Beautiful thank you for sharing. I don't know how you don't spend days at each place! I'd never be able to do a new place every day. Once in a while yes but wow. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a place more intimatly. Especially one like that! I sure wish I realized what an amazing place I was in but kids don't do they. It's wonderful to see it.

Brrrr… great video as usual. It inspired me to buy a propane outdoor shower for our van. Great to see you are home.

Man! I guess the water is warmer, but it’s hard for me to see what Baja has on BC and why you’d ever want to leave. That is some pretty spectacular scenery! I appreciate the effort you went to, to get some of those action scenes. Someone was left behind more than once with the camera while the other drove off and back with the van to get the shot. Well done! We all know that Meg is tougher, but the way in which the tenor of your voice grew ever higher as your tender manhood dipped beneath the surface of that lake was truly precious! You make good points about finding balance in life and staying young at heart. As Mrs. Tiki Envy and I teeter on the cusp of retirement from the “grind” you so wisely view with trepidation, we eagerly anticipate the time to savor for ourselves the freedom and travels you currently enjoy, and appreciate your videos all the more. Thanks so much for taking us along!

Hello. I think we saw you guys today September 22nd going to Monkman park n Northern BC. Can looks great. We just went full time ourselves and will be heading to Mexico this winter in our Class C. We built a van 2 years ago but decided on the class c for the full bathroom. Currently camped at km 9 bridge on the Monkman park road.

3:50.... boom truck to create a highline ability to extract logs? "Spur truck" not sure what they would call that ... historically a spur tree was used. Not sure those are "first growth" .... most would've been long gone and much much larger.
