Chase 5/24 Rule

Chase will not approve you for any Chase cards if you have opened 5 more credit cards in the last 24 months. All credit card accounts that show up on your personal credit report will count towards 5/24. So yes this includes any Old Navy, Victoria Secret or Target credit cards you have opened in the last 24 months.

The question I have, if you already have 2 card slots taken, one of the cards is going to be taken by Chase Sapphire Preferred, which one you recommend Freedom Flex or World of Hyatt, IHG Rewards Club Premier or Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card for the fourth slot. Very informative video. I just added an AU not thinking it will count towards 5/24. I plan to apply for CSP by end of the year. If I am denied, can I call chase to waive the AU that I added recently? Thanks!

How long should I wait after I have officially dropped out of the 5/24 rule? Like if I received a card on March 31, 2021 and it is now March 31, 2023. Can I apply the next day on April 1, 2023 or should I wait another month to make sure it comes off my credit report? I’m wanting to also apply for a chase ink but I don’t have a business and was wondering if it it ok to use for personal use to get the points for it. Thanks and love your great content and videos!

Minus my business card, the Blue Business Plus on Amex, I'm at 8/24. I won't be out of 5/24 jail till at least March 2024. When I'm out, I want to get the Freedom Flex to completement my Freedom Unlmited.

I have an Amazon card and the Sapphire card that was opened many years ago and opened 3 other CC within the 24 months. Wanting to aim for the 80k bonus miles, so i went ahead and did a product change yesterday. Am I still within the 5/24 limit and would that affect my chance to apply for the Sapphire again?
