Vittoria Mazza Review | Best New Enduro MTB Tire?

Had the opportunity to try these tires for a little while now. I have to say I'm super impressed. The technology in this tire is pretty awesome, from the stepped center tread knobs for less rolling resistance but still maintaining traction, to the siped side knobs that have support and don't fold under pressure like many tires I've ridden in the past. The new Graphine 2.0 gives great traction and has predictable characteristics that help me get out of many situations in the mountains.

I just got the new vittoria Mazzas for the front of my bike and then the rear I’m running a Martello! I’ve never tried these tires out before so I can’t wait!

i've ran WTB trail boss, minion F and R, aggressor/dissector and magic mary/big betty combos. i just got a set of vittoria based on all the recent postitive trail talk. sure, some people will never leave maxxis, but i find no loyalty to a brand if a better rubber comes along. the set i run now are (f) Mazza 2.4 and (r) agarro 2.35 on a shred dogg at 150/130- i'm really happy with them. AZ rocky/kitty litter trails mostly.

Excellent review. Thanks.
Got tubeless 27.5 x 2.6 Enduro on 40id on rear Trek Fuel ex8 @22psi.... To replace new Nobby Nic 2.8... superior. Amazing grip and strength on rocky sandy trails in Mesa. Agreed. ( Run Butcher 2.8 on front...) Climbing is great too. Provides confidence.

I just ordered the Mazza 2.4 (F) and Martello 2.35 (R). I think that should be a pretty good setup.

Great video, thank you. I am running Nobl 36 on my Ripmo V2. I am currently running Assegai / Aggressor combo here in the PNW but I'm always comparing and looking for something better. Which casing did you run here with the 985 gram weights? I'm looking on their website and not seeing it. Thanks!

Thanks for the review, I've tried the martello and it was good, but not great, this looks more like what I'd want, I do like the feel of a DHF.

I just got some enduro casing Martello and Morsa tires. I like the grip and rolling speed, but so heavy. I'm gonna get one of these in trail casing for the front, but I can't find them anywhere yet.

Can you do a review on the Barzo? I am thinking of putting the Barzo rear and the Mazza front. What is your opinion on the Barzo rear?

Hi! Between Mazza and Martellos, specially on the rear, what tire rolls better?
I usually do enduro stuff but with many/long climbs so for me its interesting pedalling efficiency.. Also considering Mazza/Agarro both in TNT casing..

About Vittoria insert, in case of need run a tube (a problem with a valve or some damage in the rim) what do you do with the insert? Its the bog Con i see apart of the extra weight

Cheers

Do you think you'd ever run the Enduro version? Or, based on your Vittoria experience is the trail casing burly enough for just about everything, with inserts? I do mostly trail riding, with maybe 1 or 2 park days a year. I run DHF F&R EXO casing with cushcore - haven't had a flat or tear yet. Maybe "light enduro" as you put it below.

Have you tried the Agarro yet? I just ordered a set and was looking at the Mazza for the rear of my bike. Didn't know if that would be a good combo for general trail / xc ridding.

Do you find the 2.4 Mazza tread too squared off on a 38mm rim? I saw one on a 30mm that already looked too squared off.

Hello. I am thinking of getting this tire for next season. I wonder if you have any opinion of the trail version and race version which has a different compound? I will be mostly riding Thunder mountain. Thanks!
