Something needs to change

Hello dear. My kids are 18 and 23. Both in college now. Which terrifies me. But when they were in lower school they too, me as well, were to afraid of this. We live in Atlanta. So I pulled them out of school in the seconds grade. I gave up my career and we lost half our income. I stayed home and I home schooled. They did online school for middle school. My son did online school in high school and my daughter skipped high school via exception test. She had her GED at 16. I know they missed a lot by not going. I know I gave my whole life up to keep them at home. But for us it was worth it. I can’t imagine how you feel. The short and long term effects of the anxiety. If you find a way to do home study just know that you are allowed to participate in all school activities, like sports, clubs, cheer, etc. at your local district assigned school. Maybe do home study and join an extracurricular activity after school. You’ll be able to go to dances, functions and proms. There is a way for a middle ground. It’s what we did.

as a texan, i am constantly terrified to go back to school. i cant believe how much life i took so for granted.

Fr I’ve had alr 13-15 threats in 2 weeks and almost got shot up on wed😢 the high school and one of my elem schools both went on lockdown bc there was someone outside
