How to make 5 steps cost the same as a small shed.

This is like swatting a fly with a sledge hammer. Overkill.

I would have brought the landing out one more block.
Nice work. 👍👍

No problem with the workmanship. I think the top landing should be wider so you have someplace to stand while handling the open door.

For the price of all the material you used would have been cheaper to just pour it solid

That's not a porch; that's a stoop. Porches have room for rocking chairs.

Those steps are stronger than the whole damn house.

A tremendous amount of materials for a set of steps. 😮😮😮

So, the major thing, unless your code allows it, is that those blocks are 8" high and max riser height is 7-3/4".

Those steps will be there for a thousand years.

For some reason I twitch when watching all that space get filled with rocks. I see that space and thinik mini tool, pet, or garden supply space. Nice looking set of steps.

After a nuclear blast, the step will still be there. It’s builds to last for centuries

I love YouTube shorts. Half of them are comments saying American homes are built with popsicle sticks, the other half are people laughing at those who overbuild things.

Dump sand at the base of the block wall to prevent mortar from bonding to the patio stones. Makes for a much easier cleanup.

My Dad replaced our 1925 row house backyard wooden stairs with this configuration in 1955. Northeast Philly. I was 5. My Parents bought it in 1950 just after I was born.
