I text my dad's phone today as I've done since he passed 5 months ago.
For the first time someone else replied. 💔
Then I get a notification of this video minutes later. And I just now brought myself to watch it.
Thank you you're truly an amazing artist. Your dad is proud☝️💙

I lost my dad almost a year ago...he was the best man that walked he showed me what it ment to have a dad in life and what it means to be a dad when he didn't have to and could of turned and walked away but he chose to stay with my mom and raise 4 kids that were not his...I haven't been able to not listen to this song every day from the moment I lost him, my best friend and every thing..I cry every time...

I can't understand how he gets through these performances... I sob every time I hear this. I lost my dad when he was 51 in august of 2010 and tomorrow is his heavenly birthday.

My mama taught me her number the minute I learned to talk. I didn’t know why at the time but she’s the first person I think of. It also helps that she ain’t changed it in 15 years

A rare singer who can sing just as well, sometimes better, live.
Another great job Cole.

Thank you for posting this video. And also for writing this song. As well as You Should Be Here. Lost my Dad in 2015 very close to Christmas. It was hard losing the one person who was supposed to be the most indestructible human being you’ve ever known. Hearing your songs really hit home with me and it brings back so much precious memories of my Dad. Supporting you all the way from Hawaii, Cole. Aloha 🤙🏻
