I think Survivor should wait to hide immunity idols or beware advantages until after the first tribal. It felt like a lot of this episode was focused on the two players trying to activate their idols, rather than exploring the players and showing early tribe dynamics

Why didn't you all applaud Andy when he chopped his coconut last night?!

If it's any consolation, my aunt was confused about the "Rob has a Podcast" comment. I explained to her there were folks who do these Survivor Podcast. She then asked,

"Oh... Do you watch them?"

"Oh, no, not really, I watch Once Upon an Island instead."

First in the heart!

Fun fact for winners analysis: 45 & 46, first few minutes. Right after Jeff said “who will claim the million dollar prize” there was a confessional from Dee in 45 and Kenzie in 46… this season had Annika with a confessional right after

Hearing your voice, Wesley, makes me so happy! Yay! Survivor is back!

Sam is my winner pick after the premiere. He only got 3 confessionals but every one of them was important. He got the “I’m a wolf in wolves clothing” winner quote, the “glue guy” confessional which shows how good of a grasp he has on the game, and a confessional explaining how voting Jon off is beneficial for his game.

I honestly am so confused why Jon got voted out over Andy. Over every season in the show, the people that "pass out" in the first challenge or have some sort of mental episode early never do well or are a liability. Q, bhanu, Brandon, Hannah, Sean... at least with them though they have upsides to them. Brandon, Hannah, and Sean were least decent socially and Q and bhanu provided something physically. I feel Andy has shown the negatives of all of them (except wanting to quit) and like none of the upside of any of them

I feel empathy for Andy, really, but if this turns into another Bahnu situation I am going to scream. I even felt like there was a direct juxtaposition, and maybe this is partly production idk, between how mental health issues can be addressed positively a la Ben and Kenzie talking at night working through Ben's anxiety in 46 vs. the awkward and uncomfortable interaction Andy tried to force Rachel into virtually the same but on the first night after knowing him for what... 18 hrs? I'm just not interested in another season of a cast that doesn't seem mentally prepared to play the game they voluntarily signed up for.

Is Rome getting the Gabler messy edit or the Q messy edit?

First thing my coworker said to me about this season was, “why didn’t you cheer for me when I chopped the coconut?!” He said he gets prime Bhanu vibes from Andy and I agree wholeheartedly. I have empathy for Andy because I’ve had friends like that in the past where anxiety seems to be a personality trait, but…yeah, dude needs some help.

What is it with cringey players like banu and Andy getting on the show? This is my problem with super fans, they go insane when they actually get to play and it lessens the value of the show.

Also can we do the math of how many winners find an idol (or beware advantage) on day 1? I think Gabler might be the only one recently but when will players FINALLY understand that social bonds are the most important thing to win

can we all agree that we should call the Kyle guy " Shaggy " instead?

Here’s the thing Wesley, when I get on the show. I’m going to shout you out and then I’m going to shout Peridiam out. It’s happening.

I just realized that Jon was kicked out of his tribe for being the old guy, and immediately came back to the real world and helped the Democrats do the same, kicking out their old guy. Lmao

Jake said he was a sheep in wolfs clothing, from 45.

I listened to this while working earlier so I didn’t get a chance to comment but happy for the podcast to be back! Gave me a lot of laughs today
I started watching with season 42 but decided to finally watch the seasons on Netflix, so I started Season 7 today and I already love it

As Wes’s (favorite) sister and Mary’s sister-in-law, I can confirm the unappreciated antagonistic behavior while playing games 😂

16:00 I think there’s a missed point here, as Sam seemingly immediately let Anika know that Jon was working on a blindside. Apologies if this gets acknowledged later in the video

Have you seen the announcement for Australia survivor vs the world. With cirri, Tony and parv?

I think the problem with the reward challenge was, that it covered everyone in mud in the very first challenge. At this point your average viewer is not that familiar with the players yet and it just makes it really hard to recognise people during the challenge. It’s just a muddy blur
