Nobody's talking about his point yet but even if Trump never directly colluded with Russian operatives in their cyber attack on our country, if he even knowingly allowed surrogates to work with them he's guilty of conspiring to commit treason. To address the subject of the video, if he found out they acted treasonously or illegally in any way and (as seems likely to anyone who isn't willfully blind or stupid) abused his power to protect them after the fact, well, as Lawrence the professor pointed out that's an impeachable offense too.

If your boss asks you to come to his office alone and says, "I hope you can do (this and that) soon." then you better believe that's as good a directive as you can reasonably receive. Would you really come back with "how about you make me" or something? Then if you're fired when you don't do it, what would you logically conclude what the reason was? The amount of contortion to make it sound as if 45 was just whining about something out loud towards the one person who can do something about it but not actually expecting anything to result from it is either lunacy or just willful ignorance. I thought​ his supporters were the people so cynical they doubted anyone with power over them but it looks like they just want everyone to believe the system is as broken and corrupt as they say it is, so the only way to make that most obvious is to vote for the most damaged and vile representatives they can find to laugh gleefully while saying I TOLD YOU SO!

I've been watching a doco about the Trump families, starting with Donny's grandfather. He dodged military duty in Bavaria and was kicked out of the country when he tried to return there after eight years in the US, making money by various means including running a brothel. Donny's father took Government money intended to be used in housing construction and somehow $4m of it ended up 'resting' in his personal bank accounts. Later there was a lengthy investigation about the Trump's habit of refusing all blacks seeking to live in Trump-built apartments. Seems to me there is a streak of rottenness in the genes of that 'superior ' family. Donny's biggest downfall is yet to come. It is inevitable and will be sweet.

Laurence Tribe is spot-on here. As for Alan Dershowitz, I used to admire him, but lately I've found his logic to be faulty and his arguments to be specious at best. He's either forgotten the basics of constitutional law or his partisan bias is skewing his powers of deductive reasoning.

OK, so now the excuse is, "He didn't know it was wrong." The presidency of the United States is NOT the place for on- the- job training.

If someone had attempted to educate him about protocol, would he have listened? No, because he already knows everything. Remember this declaration? "No one knows Washington like me." See, no one even tried to correct that sentence, which should have been "No one knows Washington like I do." "No one knows Washington like me" would mean that no one knows Washington like they know him! Are we sure he attended college?

If someone tries to inform him that he was "elected" president of the United States, not emperor of the universe, I think that would probably fall on deaf ears.

Additionally, the famous claim that "No one respects women more than me" would also be incorrect, Any sentence constructed in that way would be incorrect. It should be "No one respects women more than I do." Of course, even if a sentence is constructed correctly, that doesn't make it true.

As for abuse of power, maybe he thinks that abuse of power is not possible, since he IS the all-powerful emperor of the universe. As Steven Miller put it, ". . . his authority will not be questioned."
