I’ve blocked people who have harassed me. I don’t worry. If they are annoying or threatening, I block them.

My favorite one happened yesterday. A buyer messaged me that some sellers like to hear from their buyers before they are left negative feedback. She was not happy with the vintage toy she received because it had a marker stain on it. I asked if she had not read the description, because it was clearly stated as well as pictured. Buyer stated she must have clicked on a different sellers link to view and then clicked on mine to buy. She did say it was a lesson learned on her part. Just love how she threatened to leave me negative feedback right from the start unless a had a "resolution"

I had someone give me negative feedback because I used to much tape??? Blocked her right away.

I had a buyer who purchased an item, took time to pay, then when received item said wanted to return because it was not as described. Messaged buyer back and informed them flaw was mentioned in listing. So buyer then says they will cancel return. Keeps messaging me to leave feed back soooo many times. Then decides to return the item!!! This is a must block!!

I've blocked rude buyers or buyers who harrass. Probably about ten total

I’ve noticed that buyers who send a message after purchasing one of my items usually end up being an issue whether it be negative feedback or wanting to return an item. I’ve actually started canceling orders for these cases and blocking the buyers.

Block any buyer that give you ANY problems! Better to be safe than sorry.

I wish they had a separate list for blocking sellers who I never wish to deal with again. I have to keep a separate list on the side for this :(

HI KEVIN. As you know I am a new seller.. I just listed multiple men's clothing items different sizes etc.. Big men's clothing is always more expensive.. a buyer offered less than 50% of listed price for the Big mens item..we cou tiered back and forth until I declined.. then he messaged me. Said he was trying to deal with me.. I responded explaining why the price was higher due to size. And I would no the longer be taking offers. THEN I BLOCKED HIM. My gut told me he was trouble.. what are your thoughts? have you had that gut feeling? How did you handle it?

I recently had a jerk buyer who kept sending me low ball offer on an item. I finally accepted one of her offers and of course she never paid. When I did the unpaid item process, and relisted, she then created a new account and made me the same offer. Didn't realize at first, so I accepted and, of course, she didn't pay. Did the whole process again and she got a new account AGAIN! I was wise to it this time so I blocked her when she made the offer. She has made a total of 6 accounts trying to make offers on the item, everytime I block her a new account opens up! I finally sold it tom someone else and I guess she gave up harassing me!

Overall good advice I'm a new seller for about 3 months. So what if you have a scenario were you send a kit the buyer claims it came apart . And was missing something you send the exact missing piece for the exact model and they still say you sent the wrong one than you half to do a partial refund to avoid it from escalating would you still give that person another chance to buy more of the same items, given the sketchy scenario?

i don't be leave in blocking fist time buyers if every one did that ebay wouldn't exist every one was a first time buyer or seller at one time

I had to block a buyer once. He sent me an offer for my item that was really low. Then when I said I couldn't sell it for that low at this time he started getting belligerent and saying if I dont want a sale then so be it I shouldn't be selling things if I wasnt willing to work with people. He was so pushy and rude that I just blocked him. Luckily I had just seen a video that Ralli Roots had posted because I didnt even know it was possible to do so. So thank you for putting out this info I'm sure it will help a lot of people who may not have even known it was an option. 💛

I block buyers who ask too many stupid questions.
Just recently I blocked a buyer that wanted a WWII jewelry box but didn't have the money right away So I wrote them back
and told them that I am raising the price alot to stop someone else from buying it and to write me when they were ready to
buy it at the original price. 10 days passed and I didn't hear anything from them. I wrote and asked how much time would
they still needed. They said none with how high I raised the price. I asked if they read the email that I wrote explaining why
I raised the price? He said yes but he didn't want to get scammed. I blocked him right away. Lowered the price but to $10
more than the original and it sold in 3 days.

I needed this information. And guess who popped up. Thank You Kevin. I had a seller send me a Trevor Lawrence rookie Prizm card in a soft sleeve and he just threw it in a bubble mailer. It was bent and corners were all dinged up. I bought it in an auction and got it super cheap. I bet he was just mad it went for so low. He had shipping at $6! I left my first negative feedback. Only bc when I contacted him he had no remorse and told me they come that way from the Panini factory. He was trying to bully me thinking I didn't know anything about cards. I've been buying cards since 2003. He asked me twice to remove the feedback wo even giving the shipping back or saying he would always protect it from now on. He offered me 45% off my next purchase from him...Yeah Right! So I wanted to block my 1st person bc I bet he would try to get back at me. So I just wanted to block and be done with it. Thanks. Hey Kevin every time I sell through the gsp eBay says shipping is unavailable so I go to pirate ship jw if your having this problem or anyone else thanks God bless

You mention going in to block individual buyers from the My eBay menu. If you have the eBay HUB page set to be your Selling “Landing Page” or use it to manage your store, there is a Shortcut link that goes straight there, with fewer clicks. I was not a HUB fan when it came out, but this Shortcut was one of the positive features I did like.
