At 42 yrs, I am learning to play lawn tennis. Your tips and advices are very useful Patrick

Return of serve and volleys aside, I think the first principle is that you can relax your wrist WITHIN a secure shape of swing. If your shape of swing flails wildly, for example, a loose wrist will only amplify that chaos

Another valuable tip! Tight for volley and serve return and loose for the rest.

Hi Patrick, I struggle with remaining focused in the ups and downs in a match. What is a pro mindset to help with not getting angry or frustrated.

Thank you! Two questions left:
What about the backhand-slice? Shouldn't the wrist be firm when hitting it?
p.s.: Great vids

This helped! I keep hearing “loose wrist” but then if I had it, especially on a return, then it felt like the racket moves in my hand and the shot fails. To know that both grips are used makes total sense finally🤦‍♀️.

Hi Patrick, will a smaller grip size help with tennis elbow and how it impacts having a loose wrist ? Thank you and great work on the social media.

Hi Patrick, I'm not able to buy the idea of strictly sticking on to either one only Single hand Back hand or Double hand back hand and one can't use both on game. I see them as 2 different patterns of strokes returning back hand why not practice both and use whichever is best for the situation. Wish to hear your expert comments. Thanking you in advance

Hey Patrick,
how do i improve my movement around the court, like when the oppenent hits the ball i dont get that reaction to move very fast in that direction, i start moving around when the ball has just passed my side of the net and most of the time i am late, so can u tell me how i can read the ball better and move quickly towards that direction and most of the time i dont even run to the ball, How can i improve this please... It would be more than a great help if u answer this...

Hey Patrick! Been loving your videos. I just started coaching tennis at my old high school now that I’m out of college. I struggle with some shoulder issues just from overuse, what do you do/use to strengthen your shoulder, and would you recommend switching back to a two handed backhand as I have hit a one handed my whole career.

Hi Patrick! what if I have an inverted forehand? I hit the ball with my wrist not in the "palm" side? Is kinda weird and generates a lot of spin but i have serious problems when the ball comes fast and hard. It hurts. Changing the grip is not an option. I tried!

How about when hitting drop shots and slice? I tend to grip hard to control when hitting drop shots and slice.

Hi Patrick, how we should hold grip while returning first or second serve. Also how we should hold grip while doing serve either first, second or kick. Thanx
