I watch you consistently. I appreciate your take on so many things. You work very hard to give us the information we need to improve our health and thus our lives. it takes a lot to do that and I appreciate it. Thank you.

Raspberries, blueberries and blackberries are best and lowest in sugar of almost all fruit. Also highest in antioxidents.

As long as you don't have an Iron Deficiency Anemia. Tannins block the body's ability to absorb Iron, which interferes with with making Hemoglobin that carries O2 around the body.

Dont forget the Acidity of the Berries. Same concept as ACV for a Salivatory Amylase inhibitor.

Hey 👋🏻
So I’ve been sick with a viral cold and been drinking green tea 2 a day. Morning and night.
I keep asking my self “why is my blood sugar so low all off suddenly “????
I check my blood sugar often by the way.
I’m thinking it’s the green tea!!! 🎉

Great info; since changing my eating, I noticed eating small amount of watermelon and pineapple spiked my glucose in the morning. Last meal at 6pm and noticed was a little dizzy. Checked glucose was 118 and went down to 97 after exercising.

Will eat berries in evening to check glucose level.

Great information

Depends how insulin resistant you are. I have family members that cannot fast because they get too light headed. But I find out they keep too many high carb vegetables and blueberries and stuff to get their body to give up burning carbs and switch to fat. I’ve gone nearly no carb and time restricted for about a year and I still struggle if I include daily doses of berries or zucchini or squash. Got to stay no carb because I’m still too insulin resistant to make progress on a little carbohydrate.

This is mind blowing 🤯eat some berries with carbs to reduce insulin spike. Would this work with Greek yogurt, or other carbs like spinach, cauliflower etc 🤔

Your ability to dig up information for us who are almost type 2 folks, gives us tools to manage this scourge .thank you. My only personal request would be to dumb it down even more. I think of myself as well read but you can be hard to follow at times.😊

The best way to keep blood sugar under control IMO is,
1. to not shove sugar in your blood
2. exercise.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Tom. He is a real nice guy, but he does not understand fructose, how it's metabolized and what it does to your body. Humans should never eat fructose, the sugar that comes from fruit unless they are preparing for a famine.
If you want to improve insulin resistance, don't eat fruit, or any fructose based sugars like sucrose or high fructose corn syrup, period. Fructose is a direct cause of insulin resistance, guys. The word is out. That's why it tastes so good. Nature wants you to eat as much fruit as possible for the short time it's available so you can get the famine-protecting benefits of fructose consumption. This is why fructose is addicting.
Fruit consumption turns on a biologic pathway which causes us to gain body fat and gives us insulin resistance. We are supposed to eat fruit in the fall to help us gain fat and change our metabolism in a preparation to survive the annual winter famine.

This is an evolutionary adaptation that not only humans have but basically all other animals as well. Fructose is a metabolic change nutrient that we eat year round and in a much more pure form that not only makes us eat more, makes us tired, gain fat and causes not only metabolic syndrome but diabetes as well.
I don't expect many people here to have the intelligence or reasoning ability to understand this, but I thought I would hopefully get through to the more open minded and intelligent of the posters here, which won't be many people I'm sad to say...
