Hey, if anyone sees this, the Sea Prism does have a use. It gives a slight regeneration effect when underwater. It should apparently remove the underwater mining penalty, but that doesn't seem to be working.

Hey please note that you HAVE to use a gavel to upgrade the forge (of any type). Guy said it was buggy and while not his fault it made me lose a ton of progress by replacing it with all the blood and stuff I had in it.

I just made the forge did my first ritual on it for the eternal stella. worked fine. my aureal is only at 200 store capacity and the others are significantly lower than shown in this video. how am I supposed to upgrade those to do the ritual for Tier 2 forge and so on? I'm very confused about if it's bugged or not.

03:03 Definitivelly go for the obelisk, unless you want to make an aureal bottle farm, they are way too costly and you don't even get the empty botle back. Also, passive generation is free, and nothing beats free stuff.

03:25 Also, please note that the obelisks and the pedestrals (we'll talk about that soon) can only be placed on the "arcane chiseled polished darkstone" (what a mouthfull), aka the 8 blocs with a square gold outline. If they are placed elsewere, they won't work.

4:28 There are also a third type of souls, the corrupted one. I think they can sometime spawn after killing an hostile mob, or you get a low chance of getting one while extracting souls from soul sand. But I think they have a different use than normal and enchanted ones, maybe they will be explained later in the video ?

5:27 As for the aureal, I recommend using xp orbs and not bottle, since they are easier to farm : you can find lots of them in caves, and as seen in the precedent part of the tutorial, you can also create a block hole (black rune + corrupty dust, and not dangerous despite its name) and drop xp orbs (the one droping when you kill a mob) to get orbs in exchange.

7:20 the relics are completely new to me, I haven't actually explored F&A that much, so I didn't new about this mechanic at all !

8:12 destroying the obelisks in survival gives you the obelisks back in the form of an item, you won't have to worry about recrafting them using mundabitur dust. So, you can put the pedestrals on when crafting, and replacing them by the obleisk when you are finished to let the aureal recharge passively.

8:29 If you are using F&A alone, the loadstone may be costly, since they use a full netherite ingot each. Howerver, on the ATM8 and ATM9 modpacks, you can easly find them above spawners randomly in caves and even on the surface. I like to get them every time I see them !

14:12 Remember that the how is now a gathering tool just like the axe and the pickage : it works best on miscelianous blocks like leaves, hay bale, sponge, nether wart blocs, etc. Did you try the area mining on these ?

Very well made and interesting guide on the hephastus forge and its uses !
From what I can see, it seems the mod has still some updates scheduled, so I won't be surprise if new stuff comes up soon, at least the lissing uses for the prisms and high-tier forges.

Also, join the discord, it's fun (especially if you want to bug out Epic lol), and there are a lot of people (including me) ready to give you pieces of advice on your modded adventures !

I upgraded my forge to tier 2 then I picked it up and placed it down again. Now it's back to tier 1...

any idea about a broken forge? mine shows it can do the craft but when i use the gavel it make the metal sound but nothing, used it before so it has worked, at one point i got it into the negatives for blood :P
