Whenever a salesperson says you have to buy TODAY in order to get the once in a lifetime deal… don’t walk away… RUN

We attended a blue green timeshare presentation in June at their Williamsburg VA property. I feel we were fortunate that we were held hostage for only 2 1/2 hours - most likely because I was pretty vocal in expressing my incredulity at the hefty yearly maintenance fee as well as the 16 percent interest rate charged for financing one of their packages. I think they were glad to be rid of us. I will say we went to the presentation with the conviction we would not take the bait and we held fast to that.

We stayed in a hotel near orlando for 3 nights ended up being like 78$ total and we got bass pro gift cards. We signed up at bass pro. Wr had to sit through a 2 hour presentation and a little tour. The presentation was so dry and boring though I almost laughed out loud a few times at the salesmans “sales pitch” it was hilarious. No we did not buy but I was able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with a few of them! Praise God!

I worked for this company for a day and got fired. The reason why is because I mentioned to two different people (James Boss and dani my boss) that I was concerned that this company is scamming people, they both pushed my concerns around like they didn't care and told me that they weren't scamming people, then 2 hours into my shift dani fired me because of my concerns with the company.. if that doesn't concern you then idk what will but this is a shady company and no one should work for them or buy into the lies. Please be aware of this when applying or thinking about buying from this company they do not care about you or the customers. (8/20/22)

I signed up and went this past weekend do Daytona Beach, ended up paying $52 in taxes, during the presentation I asked about their bad reviews, their last 2 lawsuits, why they had to pay people to the presentation if it was such great deals I could notice they didn't like my questions at all, the timer on my phone was set up for to 2hrs the moment it went off I told them that was the 2 hr mark got up and left.

My son learned about BlueGreen Vacations approx. 12 years ago. Their properties are very nice, but there's a lot of smoke & mirrors with their sales pitches. Giving "complimentary gifts" raise red flags with me because there is nothing free in our society. My son learned how to play the game & sat through their seminars which would run over 2 hours. Then he learned he could return in 2 years & do it again. He tried to influence me to sign up on alternate years, but was more successful with getting his Father-in-Law to book vacations so they would have reasonably priced ($500-$600 for a 5 day stay) summer packages every year for 6 years. If anyone bought a timeshare, today no one would be able or willing to travel because life, pandemics, & death happens, but this financial obligation continues.

We were a BlueGreen timeshare owner. We started out with maintenance fees at a couple hundred dollars a year. When we give it up it was three thousand a year for maintenance fees. We let go of a fully paid off gold member timeshare. More or less a scam they keep increasing the maintenance fees till they are outrageous.

Stayed in New Orleans for 3 nights for $62 in taxes - On the 3rd day did the seminar in 2 hours and walked out with $150 and took the street car to the French market and continued to enjoy my trip - it worked out for me... Maybe others aren’t

I was wondering if I tell them I already have time share, would they leave me alone?

I JUST left a Bass Pro Shop and the man refused to show me the refund Policy and just ANY Privacy policy, terms and agreements, anything until I put my credit card into the system. I said “sir, have a great day, but I will NEVER sign up for anything I cannot read the contracts terms and conditions of. That’s wild.” 08/12/2023.

We got burned on a "Free Cruise". By the time you add up all their fees, it was $50 off a short Carnival cruise, if you went with a bunkbed cabin, on the oldest ships. Any upgrade beyond that, the free cruise became more expensive than booking yourself.

I just bought one impulsively at bass pro. Can I still cancel over phone before 30 days?

Also, when signing did you put down your social security number? If you don’t they can’t do a credit check right?

Many folks who are getting into timeshares don’t watch these videos. Every year I keep seeing victims on the news or telling their stories on YouTube. I hope the new generation is catching on to this scheme.

Thanks for your video, We signed up for this in sept 23, never went because I started to question them about the deal, We were never told that it would be a time share, that you would have to attend a 2 hr. meeting or you had 30 days to cancel & get your money back, I realized all this about 40 days after signing up & they would not refund my $199.00, I did use the $ 50.00 gift card that day, This happen at a Cabelas store, I'm very disappointed in Cabelas for supporting a service like this, I firgure I lost $149.00, but thanks to your video We're not going to a resort to get Scammed again...

We went to a presentation in Shenandoah, Va. Gorgeous asian woman, dressed to the teeth, spent an hour arguing with me, trying to sell a timeshare. I dtuck to my guns and said im not interested. She kept up, wouldn't take no for an answer. After an hour she finally gave up and walked off. Stand your ground, people, and don't give in

You are fortunate you walked out. Could have been very expensive experience. Timeshare contracts are usually perpetual. Think of this: 5 hours with 2 people is 10 hours total. For $100 gift certificate? $10/hour?

My parents bought a bluegreen timeshare when we were in Gatlinburg and we got free magic show tickets. But they got bamboozled in to buying the time share and now are stuck with new points every other year. Paying for something they can't use but every other year. I gotta find out how to turn it down cause I don't wanna inherit that.
