Aldi food shopping haul - We’re going food shopping for our family of four. It’s our weekly food shop and I’ll be talking you through everything I bought (and how much it all cost!).

I’m engaged in a permanent battle to reduce our food spend to help our overall household budget but I DID go a little bit over for good reason so I’ll explain all in this UK mum vlog.

I’ve started shopping online because I’ve found I’m less likely to overspend, now I plan my meals for week, breakfast, lunch and dinner plus dessert, add extras like essentials, fruit etc and this is helping keep the budget on track

Hi, I love your videos. I do click and collect from sainsburys. I just shop my favourites section first to get the things we need every week. Then shop the offers for meal inspiration. It takes me about 15 mins and helps me stick to a meal plan so saves money and time.

I have never seen anything more relatable with regards to hating shopping and trying to make a shop last a week and a half or 2 we realised this was our biggest downfall so we compromised to do online shops from Asda with a midweek delivery pass which was £35 a year and get the shops delivered on my WFH days on my lunch break so it takes up no extra time out of my day. But ultimately the food shops lasted us for a week, less painful than doing a weekly shop cause all I have to do is put it away and we stay in budget 90% of the time. I do just miss Aldi stuff though!

I do click & collect with Tesco & just tie it in with when I’m out already (eg nursery run). I haven’t done a big shop in a supermarket for about 6yrs 🙈 the idea really stresses me out now!! I find it’s so much easier to compare options & £/kg online & plan meals around offers, etc. I also use Shopmium. Definitely saves us money!

We do an online shop as it saves us so much time! We've found it worth paying a little bit more for some products, but it seems to work out around the same across the month as I dont pick up any extras because I don't go into the shop

I recently started online shopping as previously begrudged paying the delivery fee, but am finding it saves me money as i onlybuy what i need and dont come away with £100 worth of middle isle goods 😂 it saves me sooo much time aswell ! (although do hate you seem to get given short sell by dates, but they do seem happy to refund you for this. Ive also recently started meal planning for the whole week and actually sticking to it, my food shop has reduced to about £80 a week for a family of 4 from £100 and less food waste. Love your vids, thank you! X
