I am Finance Professional and I completely agree with Professor. Bitcoin does not serve any purpose efficiently. Gold is a store of value and it has industrial purpose while bitcoin don't have any purpose other than being an inefficient currency of sorts. Collectibles is the right tag, but it is being bought in the hope that others will pay more for it. No cash flow of underlying currency means it is an asset deriving value solely based on demand and supply metrics.
