It never ceases to amaze me how occasionally a gorgeous, expensive, lovingly built plane ends up in the hands of a rookie pilot. Don't mean to offend, but this was 100% avoidable and a skilled pilot would likely never crash like this.

Free ones.
Got to watch that for free and watch it again. For free.
Thanks to the love and labor that the dedicated builders put into it.

I think he should have just chopped the power and let it settle. But, like they say..you can always save the ship after it's sunk!.

With multi engine rc it's not worth trying to go around from low level. Commit early on the approach, close the throttles and land. If the approach is unstable you're either not trimmed properly, your expo curve is wrong, or your flying in the wrong conditions.

Didn’t chop power when he had the landing

Oh maaan. Such a bummer! How do we get it so wrong on the runway. Many condolences I bet you rebuilt it! Thanks for sharing.

Over controlling? With too much 'throw' on the elevators?
So many large models stall or lose wings for this reason.
Sometimes, just throttling back is the answer.
Or using all available runway.

Well, I learned something today. Don't yank a B17 off the ground :)

Did the pilot have a seizure a few seconds before touchdown? My condolences.

Painful to watch. With warbirds, I try to get into the habit of raising the flaps on initial touch down. This greatly reduces ground effect and helps the plane settle in quicker. If it's still too hot for a landing, throttling up for a go-around is easier to control without the added lift.

Eerily prophetic to what would happen to the real one

Completely pilot error pulling on that elevator too hard and then stalling it

Atrocious. Pilot totally unqualified to be flying this. He could have just chopped the throttle after the first bounce and maybe broke a prop but no, let’s give it full throttle and full up elevator and force it off the ground into immediate stall.. it’s not a SIG Kadet it’s a heavy plane you cant do that. This dude needs to be flying a trainer, not ready at all for these kinda planes.

Approach was good, plane looked happy. He appeared to leave the round out a wee bit late and yanked a wee bit hard but no biggie, relaxing the elevator would have worked. Not a slick three pointer but it would be down in one bit, The pilot seemed to attempt to go around. Hard to say what happened. When things go wrong time speeds up
