How to Find Hidden Files and Folders in Windows

By default, Windows hides so many important files and folders. You can view these files and folders but keep in mind that if by mistake you will move, delete or rename any hidden file or folder, then your application may stop working, or sometimes it may cause a system failure.
But, sometimes we required to see the hidden files and folders. You must have administrator rights on a computer to view the hidden files and folders. Let’s follow the steps as shown in this video.
Method -1
1. Click on the search bar at the bottom left on the taskbar.
2. Type Control Panel in the search bar.
3. From the search result, click on the Control Panel App.
4. In the Control Panel window, click on “Appearance and Personalization.”
5. Click on the File Explorer Options.
6. In the File Explorer Options window, click on the View tab.
7. Under the Advanced settings, and in the Hidden files and folders category, select the radio button of “Show hidden files, folders, and drives”.
8. Uncheck the box of “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)”.
9. A warning pop-up will appear, click on the Yes button.
10. Click on Apply button at the bottom of File Explorer Options, and then click on the OK button.
11. You will start seeing the hidden files on your desktop.
12. Now open the File Explorer, and click on the C: drive on the left side.
13. See, you will find many hidden files and folders here as light color or these may be grayed out.
14. In our Method – 2, we will try to show the hidden files by using Registry Editor.
15. Click on the search bar at the bottom left on the taskbar.
16. Type Regedit, and click on the Registry Editor App.
17. In the User Account Control popup, click on the Yes button.
18. On the left side, HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder, then click on the Software folder, then click on Microsoft Folder.
19. Scroll down the folders list, and click on the Windows folder, then click on the CurrentVersion folder.
20. From the folder’s list, click on the Explorer folder to open it and finally click on the Advanced Folder.
21. Now on the right side, find the Hidden file.
22. Right-click on it, and click on Modify…
23. Change the Value data from 2 to 1, and then click on the OK button.
24. This will show you the hidden files.

Was hoping the Regedit would get this to work.
Mine IS set to 1 value and still file are hidden!
Got be be another setting somewhere
