At the equator, can you see the same stars 6 months later?

At the equator, 6 months represents a 180 degree change in your view of the night sky.

The stars will be different!

But if you look at different times of the night, there will be some overlap.

Don't forget... if you aren't on the equator, there will be a region of the night sky that you can see all year round. I live in the northern hemisphere, so I can see Polaris any day of the year.

Here's a good video on this I would recommend:

Also.. you missed to add the tilt in the access of the earth .. that is a another factor

Very nice graphical explanation. Viewers also need to keep in mind that the nearest star is vastly farther away than shown in the overlapping zone. It's all about scale.

Is their a phase or side or area of universe that is opposite of the North Star that we never get to see. Yes we see the same constellation throw out the year due to the shape of the earth and its rotation on its own axis, but the question is what is on the other side opposite side what we see. I understand you made your point about the North Star. Is there a direction of the universe that we never get to see like the dark side of the moon.

I got a notification for the following comment, but I don't see it here. Perhaps that means it was deleted by the original commenter. If this was your comment, please feel free to re-post it. In case you deliberately deleted it, I'll leave your name off, but it was a good question, so here it is:

"But explain to me why can we see five constellations throughout the year from northern hemisphere . Imagine in your diagram, your star is commonly observable from both the positions .Yet how can you observe the star when earth is completely opposite to the star like this - -- o ( O ). 🌟 Consider the small o to be earth O to be sun . So, how will you observe the same star in that situation"

Why do the consolations never change according to our perspective in
the universe? We can see Trees close by move in front of mountains in
the distance as we drive down the road. But I never see closer
stars move in front of distance stars as our line of sight changes.

🎉 This finally explains it. Thanks. And I just realized, of course, the further north or south you live, the less changes your night sky will have year round, because you’re looking more north or south. Ah haaa.

Only variation in the view of stars is due to the tilt of the earth. No one has explained ever in full how the stars never change their location to the earth. Understand the galaxy rotates with us and unless we are the focal point in the galaxy the view of the stars should change. No the earth is not flat either 🤣

Spring and fall, night is from the other side of the planet.
Your X star, that night is behind what? Nothing stopping the sun lights.
Whole point of that diagram is for nothing.

Hahahaha how about i look at the stars at the same time at night? And not 2am?? 🤣🤣🤣 Then you try to divide it by four not 2 let us see how you explain the bottom side or your drawing. 😅

You're failing to answer the question. And trust me, we're not WORRIED about this. We're not asking about any other time except MIDNIGHT 6 months apart. THAT'S ALL. At that time, according to the ball model, we are looking at completely OPPOSITE skies. Except that we don't see 2 separate star compilations. We see the SAME one. That is NOT possible. Sorry. You failed to answer the question because you CANT answer the question. It DOESN'T work on the current Force-fed Model. Good night!

Umm what? ...
Looks like all you created in your 2d diagram is the pyramid with star above it or all seeing eye (Ra) like on back of dollar bill... And almost every Holly wood movie, "eye witness"news channel symbol, music video, celebs covering one eye, Egyptian symbol, etc, .
You may have done it unconsciously but that's where your explanation lead ya.... And then there's your black hole sun (won't you come) in middle like the G in freemason emblem.
Thanks for video.
