Why pay the extra money when they have almost identical gaming performance. The 5600x is a BEAST

Summary:
On gaming they perform pretty much the same, except the 5800X runs 10°C+ hotter than the 5600X.
Buy the 5600X if all you want is to game.

Had a $163 total 5600 get delayed yesterday. Then saw someone in my area selling a 5800x for $180 so RMA is already setup for the 5600. $17 more is worth it for possible future benefits of the extra cores.

Like the benchmark format. Clean.

Thanks for the video . 5800x is around $90 more expensive in my country, and you just helped me save that much.

I am so undecided.. building a new computer, and stuck choosing between the 5700X ($165), the 5800X ($175) or the 5800X3D ($315). Will pair it with an RX 6750 XT. There's also the 5600X ($135), but being a sysadmin and running multiple virtual machines I believe I would definetely benefit the 2 additional cores. The 5700X seems like a good cost-performance ratio to be honest.

Thanks for the video, 5800x is now on sale for $250 which is a great deal but I'm using for gaming and light remote workstation and it appears my $50-60 would be better used for another part of my build. Regardless of what I choose it will be better I'm sure cause I'm still rocking my first build from 14' with a fx6300😂 it has served me extremely well and will now go to the kids lol

With the 5700X (8C/16T) 65 watts, 32Mb and the 5800X3D (8C/16T) 105 watts, 96Mb cache coming out in less than a month, it's a tough choice. The 5700X will definitely beat the 5600X in heavy workloads and will be aimed to compete with the 12600K even though it is only 65 watts. Will AMD pull a rabbit out of a hat?

The 5600x is definitely the best bang for your buck because it comes at a decently lower price than the 5800x while having near identical performance and lower temperatures. But if you don't mind slightly higher temperatures and a 1% performance difference for an extra $30 then go ahead and buy the 5800x. It'll do you a lot of justice if you do a little bit of creative work which requires more cores.

I ended up with the 5800x, over the 5600x last Xmas 'cause the 5600x was just _impossible_ to get here in the U.K and when they were finally both available (months after I'd built my PC) they weren't much cheaper than the 5800x, due to scalping of one, and the heavy discount for the other. Sometimes the best CPU is the one you can _actually_ buy at the time. Don't even start about how I ended up justifying my GTX 3090 FE purchase from NVidia UK :)

i would say for 5600x is best for anyone especially me as a college student i barely or almost never have heavy pc work except mainly gaming whereas 5800x is only better if ur more into editing and stuff

Hi, I've been doing alot of research for a new gaming pc build, which cpu would you recommend? I play games like the sims, among us, gta v, etc ( not big major games ). I'm having a hard time figuring out which one is good for recording ( I use obs ) editing, and streaming.

An Arma 3 test is the true test since that game says fuck you to your gpu and your gpu means nothing. That is something i'd pay to see.

Thanks, I've been trying to decide which cpu to get to upgrade my brother's pc (which was my old pc). Good to know that a 5600x will do just fine with a 3070 ti at 1080p.

So in conclusion, the 5800x has a reputation for being a bit hotter than the others and this is confirmed here, but on the whole, we notice that they are largely at the same level, it's just that the 5600x will sometimes have to make a bit more effort than the 5800x, but this is a matter of heart I guess and see a question of greedy game or a matter of game optimization.

I imagine that the 5600x is more than enough if you are looking for a purely gaming configuration.

I'm not sure if the 5600x is enough if you're looking for a pure gaming setup, but if you're watching/streaming on Twitch, it's not a problem to slow down?
I want to change my processor and I'm often on Twitch (only as a spectator, I specify^^) in addition to the game on the side.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the 5600x to play games in Ultra without any problems?

How do you setup Afterburner to look like that?

I know I'm late to the party but the ryzen 5 5600 non x is just as fast as the ryzen 5 5600x. My question is why doesn't anybody ever mention the non x version? I mean there might be a 2 -5 difference in performance gains from the X but that's about it. Thanks for all you do I love your content.

I have a 5600x.. would it be worth upgrading to a 5800x? I am running a Reference 6950xt and games are fine! but I started streaming a little and already added more storage. I use Elgato to but feel the 5600x might be slowing down the streaming process, editing process.

I use a NZXT Kraken 240 elite.. Would that keep the 5800x cool enough? or would my Deepcool AK500 Work better?

Не зря взял именно Ryzen 5 5600x - от 5800x смысла нет, если только играешь.
