I like the Kalmar one. A united Scandinavia. Would have more resources and would likely have been more of a colonial power. I am guessing some of Canada would have been a Scandinavian colony, named Vinland and situated around New Foundland, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Perhaps Quebec too, as the Scandinavian fleet could probably have kept France away.

a little comment on what you've written in the description:
denmark did not emerge in the middleages. we've existed far longer than the USA...
since before the viking age... and we were sunworhippers in the bronze age ;)

It is assumed that the first Danes entered the Northern area we know to be Denmark around 10, 000 BC.
The Kingdom of Denmark and the unification of the country dates back to around 700 AD.
not even close to a country, by 3000 BC, farms had begun to appear on the flat, fertile land we now call Denmark.
