He’s not roaring he’s just growling as a warning. Tigers roar is very loud and piercing.

I am not sure about this clip, but I have heard the deep burble growl of a tiger in the night in the forest in Karnataka, we were in an open jeep. I have never been as scared of airplane turbulence as I was at that time. The feeling of having been spotted and warned in the pitch dark, while you are unable to see the beast yourself is a surreal one.
