No sir. That isn't Subaru's best kept secret. Here's what is:. 2024 Legacy Sport turbo. And what fascinates me is that at the time of this writing NO ONE has discovered that that car, launched from a stop to 60, can get there in sub-5 seconds. (only while in Manual mode). I've done it several times now, as I just bought the car. I am amazed that this car, with the WRX 2.4T AND the SPT CVT transmission can and does do this. Few realize that the CVT for the WRX in 23 was improved. The Legacy Sport has the same power train. Why hasn't anyone covered this? Why aren't all the videos about testing these Subies with this CVT done in Manual mode?? This CVT has been beefed up and very much improved, and is capable of putting the power of the turbo down. Only by using the manual mode. With the upgraded CVT. Moreover, the WRX max HP output is 270. But torque is like 255. The Legacy Sport puts down 260 HP while the torque is at 277lb feet. That's a significant difference in this car. Same engine and CVT as the WRX, but brought to life in the Legacy in a different way. I had to trade in my 21 STi (long story, ) and bought this. I thought it was a small down-grade. Nope. What a pleasant surprise. The Legacy Sport is a performance machine, and the secret to the speed, while in manual mode is, you quick flip the "gears" of the CVT while the turbo is at full boost from a standing start. This cuts down dramatically on the time it would take a WRX or STi to move through the 6-speed gears, while using the clutch to shift. Am I the only one who realizes THIS Legacy as the true best-kept secret?
