The outback was named after my country (Australia), and have deep respect for Subie for continuing to make a quality station wagon platform in the 20s

Fun fact: The Subaru Outback was originally a trim level for the Subaru Legacy. In 1994 Subaru released the Legacy Outback to help get into the newly growing SUV market. The Legacy Outback did so well that Subaru released the Subaru Outback as its own car with its own set of trim levels in 2000. The Subaru Outback now comes in 9 trim levels and has been through 6 generations so far.

I have the 2017 Subaru Outback Limited with the boxer 6 engine and it runs great. I got all the bells and whistles with it and it has been the best new car we ever purchased. My wife loves it and it was supposed to be my car but alas, she drives it the most.

It was between this (base) and a '24 Crosstrek Onyx (sport in US). Thing is a tank! Ended up going with the Crosstrek because we didn't need something so big. It's a nice car regardless.

I drive a 2012 outback limited with navigation and a backup camera. It now has 141, 000 miles. I bought it used in college with 87, 000 miles. What is remarkable is that there is not even a rattle in the interior! I have had to fix the brakes a few times, and I have always done oil changes on time. It just runs very well if you look after it

I had a 2022 outback limited and I sold it for 24K. I had put 50K miles on it. 2 days ago I bought a new 2024 limited for 34K with additional 1k worth free accessories @2.9% interest. I just love it..!!

It would be even better with a manual transmission option, and a real automatic transmission

Wagons are also safer than a traditional SUV. They have bigger crumple zones and don’t tip over like Tall SUVs do.

Usually I love the rear end but in this case, I love the front end ❤😅

I'd buy it for $29, 000👍🏻 That's what it would've been pre-pandemic🤷🏻‍♂️ I'll wait until car dealerships begin to start being fair with the consumers.

Remember this does not include tax, extras, and maintenence package that is necessary due to all the technology. Then there is increased insurance on a new car and higher registration fees in some states.

Just bought a ‘24 Wilderness. Loving it on the Subaru side of life.

Bought a 2016 Outback 3.6R maxed out on extras (minus illuminated mirrors and lit leg area). It was when you couldn't find one at all in Cali, 45k out the door, pricey, yes, but damn has it been great and I love the 6-Cylinder.

i plan on putting 300k on my outback, i love that they remains really feeling like the outback line tho. I have a 2016 and besides the screen (and i’m sure some other very cool new features) it feels like the same car and that’s sooo beautiful.

Non turbo with CVT for $39K is good for rural roads and small towns. For highways you'll need the turbo, which cost $4K more.
