Border Collie herds sheep onto the porch!!

Doc is a 14 month old border collie who had the time of his life when his tie out cable came loose! He went straight to his training sheep and brought them onto our front porch! here is everything we caught on the security cameras... #bordercollie #dog #dogtraining #farmlife #funny

When I was a kid, we lived out in the Texas countryside, at the end of a long road. We six kids had to walk up to meet the bus every morning, heat or snow, rain or shine, and our sheltie, Nickie, took it as his solemn duty to herd us kids up to the the bus stop, and get us onto the school bus. Every afternoon, he'd be there waiting for the bus, to herd us home.
RIP, Nickie, a good doggo.

My sister found a stay Border Collie and brought him home, i can remember heading out to one of our pastures to bring a horse in. My sister joking around said "go get em" and pointed and the dog took off and brought the horse to gate. I was floored and that was the beginning of us having border collies.

He probably was like: "I bet you're wondering why I gathered you all here. Me too."

But I did hear that border collies do have a very strong herding instinct. I heard that you have to be careful with them at children's parties because they can start herding the kids.

This is hilarious! I’m glad there was a security camera to catch the action. One of my friends used to have a border collie. It was a sweet, likable dog. Whenever she had a party at her house, the dog couldn’t stand it if any of us left the party area. He would herd us back together each time! If one of us went to the bathroom, he would wait outside and herd us back as soon as we came out. The dog needed a job, as all collies do. When his owner got more involved with feral cat rescue, it turned out that the dog was wonderful with taking care of the kitties. He would wash them, cuddle them and keep them herded together and safe! After that he wasn’t so cutely annoying around her friends because he had a job he loved!

It's like the doggy knows he's supposed to stay at home, but also he's got job number one to herd the sheep. I think he decided if he herds the sheep in the house then he could do both at once. So hilarious and loyal!

I had an Aussie who went next door to a 4 yr old birthday party and rounded up ab 10 screaming kids and drove them over to my house. I thought their mothers would have a fit but one lady laughingly asked if I could bring over Scooby everyday after school and keep the kids in line😊

We had a Border Collie growing up. He herded everything!!!! He herded a fam of skunks under the house. He would herd the deer in the fields around us. He would herd cats, cows, sheep, us kids and anything else!!! He wanted everything to be where he had control of all of it at once. Doc is a very smart boy.

He just wants to throw a big party at the house when his parents are not home. I think a lot of us can relate to that.
