#Kenosis, the Greek term denotes ‘self emptying’. Phili 2:10 is the basis of Kenotic Theory in theology . God has been so gracious enough to limit Himself to a human being. The One who is beyond time and space has confined Himself into time and space - The absolute lowering.
“A Child is born”, the usual proclamation we hear on Xmas has got much more in-depth meaning which is the cryptic reason behind His birth. “HE IS BORN TO BE CRUCIFIED TO RESURRECT”. Kenosis is fulfilled in this wholesome operation. Kenosis is when there is not a stage beyond a person can humble himself - the ultimate lowering. Hence, celebration of Xmas ought to be through repentance and purification of ourselves.
Celebrations should happen in our very 'Being Nature’ where Christ should born and there the spiritual rejoicing- However you also have your worldly celebrations, where you should never forget that He is born to hold his sufferings till Calvary. In Christmas therefore, there is a celebration, a path of repentance, a remembrance of His Calvary sufferings and also the Spiritual happiness in him through His resurrection.
Here we bring forth a medley of some of the well known ever green Christian songs, presented in an unplugged version, titled Kenosis . A small team of vibrant youngsters along with Orthodox Praises team has initiated this venture to take the audience traverse through this lent season with joy of Christmas ,repentance and purification, to kenosis through sufferings culminating in spiritual rejoicing and happiness of His resurrection .
RevFrJohnSamuel and Nithya Mammen are rendering their voices for this venture . Achen, being the music captain of La Moriyo Zegtho Bangalore & USA) , Sadhusopanam ( Trivandrum), Qom, the easter composition ( Raz Al Khaima), Chimes and Bells, the coming Christmas symphony in Muscat etc are his major symphony music works. His contribution of liturgical music of Malankara Orthodox Church are exemplary. He is a wonderful music composer and director and brings forth a different arena here by singing.
#NithyaMammen was the finalist in "Voice of Bangalore" which kickstarted her playback singing career in the year 2016 for a Kannada movie , 'Students' and also for 'Modala Miditha'.As a renowned performer in music albums she has performed in various love theme albums. She has done marvellous music shows in India and various countries like Malaysia, Qatar, Dubai, Kuwait and various parts of India.
Album Kenosis is a medley of some evergreen Christian songs which is aimed to take you to a spiritual feel in an unplugged version
