I mean the Elytra wasn’t immediately the best transportation method making others useless until the fireworks functionality was added, it was actually very slow on initial release and took a while to set up (yes I know there was the punch bow thing but let’s be honest that barely helped the elytra)

People are stupid.
1. You can always go back to old versions.
2. it seems to me that people are mad the combat system is actually good now instead of having to spam click.
3. You get the Elytra after you beat the whole game, and still, it takes a lot of effort to even find one. Also you need rockets to even fly.
4. imo this update was definitely the best update regardless of the combat. the Elytra is one of the best items in the game.

I think 1.14 was a big contender, the villager stuff was cool but the system was complicated and most of all the MAJOR major texture changes took away so many nostalgic block textures that people felt made minecraft Minecraft

Imo the new combat system is so much better, a stone axe is op and you can get it 30 seconds into your run

The one thing I hate about the new combat system is that ppl literally just hide behind shields all the time making pvp super boring- maybe I’d be fine with timing my hits if I didn’t have to hit someone 7 time for 1 hit to go through. And yeah, you can disable shields with axes but that only lasts a few seconds, and you’re just wasting a hit.

I honestly wish I could play some Hypixel games with 1.9 PVP. It adds difficulty but is still simple to learn.
