Thanks for such a great review Joe. Like you say it’s a proper paste that has pedigree it’s been around for almost 30 years. When I first made this paste there was nothing like it at all and it was untouchable. Even to this day in the right hands it’s awesome. I even got asked to make it for a rival, van den Eynde, yes I made the hydro paste for them but it wasn’t anything like my miracle paste.

Buy 25kg (about 50 quid) Skrettings Micros .... Blend a few kgs until powder pre use (I do this and take the powdered form of micros) . Mix paste as you like, add some flavour and/or colour etc of your choice, Good to go - and one 25kg bag should last you a good while. Savings are massive - say take special G gold at around £5.5 a KILO 25 * £5.5 = £137.5 as opposed to £50. For gluten just powder (in your blender) some dried pasta (it has to be fine) of your choice and add powder to paste mix - spaghettia tesco etc own brand costs peanuts.

Hi Joe, Been using thatchers and wheat gluten which I got from Amazon but struggling to get consistency right it seems to be too wet and falls apart too easy or still really crumbly . What ratio do you tend to use for all three elements? Water thatchers and gluten
