My newer version of the 3-D Face Mask, includes filter pocket and nose wire, few more steps to it but definitely a beautiful satisfactory result! Step by Step Tutorial. Click below for more information.

This Face Mask fits Man and Woman. To make this face mask I used 100% Cotton Fabric (Quilting weight cotton fabric)
- ONE piece of Fabric (Only)
14 1/2" x 10" (37 cm x 25. 5 cm)
- If using elastic, cut: 2 x 9" (23 cm) each
- If using ties (I used grosgrain ribbon): 2 x 36" (91.5 cm) each
- Flexible wire : 5" (12.7 cm)

Face Mask (Finished size):
8 7/8" (Long) x 6 5/8" (Widest point)

BEST instructional video because of:
- the large dark font which made it easy to read,
-measurements were pointed out on a ruler,
-professional sewing techniques such as marking and ironing were demonstrated,
-providing a list of equipment used in the description.
This is an A+++ video production. Good job, Sarah.

Very nicely demonstrated! I like the way you sew the center edges before cutting the corners out, and how the flaps on your pattern do not overlap. I've been making a similar style, but will try your way. (BTW--I use one continuous length of paracord or ribbon instead of two separate sections, that way the mask can be worn down, like a necklace, when not in use, and fastened with only one bow or knot behind the head.)

Thank you for your mask patterns! I have the same sewing machine and little iron! I have seen several versions of this but this version is the best thank you!

I like this design, not a complicated and neat way to sew a 3D Mask. Thank you for sharing Sarah.

Can you please tell me what size to cut the filter material to insert into the mask? Thank you very much for such a fantastic video!

I've been trying to make a 3D mask that fits but can't get the dimensions right as I have a small face. Tried making a few tweaks here and there but it doesn't work as I lack knowledge in pattern making. It will be great if you can share some tips about that. Thanks!

Hi Sarah! Thanks for the creation! Can you please design one for children under age 10? I would greatly appreciate your measurements adjusted for children . They want to go shopping with mommy and I can’t take them without a face mask.
Thank for for sharing and thanks for considering my request ! God bless ! Stay safe and be well.

If I want the inside to be a different fabric, What size would I cut the two pieces of fabric? Thank you.

What is the size of the fabric that you start with?

One layer of fabric is NOT enough protection and NOT what CDC recommends!!! Should be 2-3 plus a filter, preferably high quality like the filtrate purple filters everything even germs/disease!! And take same amount of time. I can do a 2 layer with filter with 1 pc of fabric

Those top stitching seams mess with the integrity of the mask!
