There are so many Australian native orchids that we would love to get here in the USA. Thanks for sharing.

How wonderful 😌🙏💞I thoroughly enjoyed watching! I don't know if the Pleione is native to Japan, but Calanthe discolor is😌🤲

Good morning Matthew, by accident I picked up my Pleione ground orchid and thought I hit the jackpot, well that is at the time. Then I noticed somebody else also had plants. Ours are the purple flowering type. They are just gorgeous. Now I know "how to" treat them, feed them and take proper care. Thank you so much for sharing and showing, and Jane Tonkin is absolutely lovely. Beautiful plants. I am sure you will add a yellow or two to your collection, they are absolutely stunning. Then again, all plants are mind boggling beautiful. Thank you for the interesting chat, the information shared, have a grand day. Looking forward to your next video. Kind regards.

soil mix: 1/4 potting soil, 1/4 leaf mold, 1/4 compost, 1/4 'food' (not sure if this means chemical fertilizer or what)

I am so excited to tell you- I found a nursery that grows every color there is of Pleione ground orchids! Only 43 miles away so- road trip this coming spring! Reasonable prices is a bonus. I’d love to have the Pleione-Vesuvius-Phoenix, Pleione golden gate and Hekila. I didn’t know there were so many hybrids. Some can even grow outside here all year long! Bonus!

Hi Matthew, I’m not sure there’s ever too many Pleiones. The yellow ones are glorious. Good luck on getting your haul next time they’re in season. PS I also watch and enjoy your other channel. You guys are a hoot together. I always learn something too.. Bonus. Thanks!

Your content is so delightful. I'm in the USA, but I'm finding that Australia has some great orchids. I just got 2 sarcochilus hybrids yesterday to set near my den kingianum and speciosum! I got the sarcos after I found your video on them and my jaw hit the floor. Thanks for your work!

I’m near Vancouver BC Canada and leave mine out in the wet winter freeze (-12°C last winter) and never feed them and they faithfully bloom and grow jammed into a large bowl! They dried out completely in last summers 38°C heatwave. Very tough orchid!

Hi Mathew Great video! One question. In her potting mix she said 1 part food. What kind of ‘food’ does she use?
Love pleiones! Thanks

I am very new to pleione but recevied 2 plants this Spring (North America). Your videos are very informative. I have a question, do you need to report and remove the old pseudobulb every Fall? Thanks.

Hi. Stephen Ryan referred me to your you tube channel so that I could watch your Pleione video. Marvellous! I also love them and try to grow them. I bought some from Jane earlier this year. Just one question, please - what kind of food is it that Jane includes (or that you would include) in the mix for potting? Thanks a lot. Wendy (from Canberra)
