What Happened to Roseanne Barr?

On July 25th, 1990, as Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold flew high above Jack Murphy Stadium, the San Diego Padres waited to face the Cincinnati Reds in the last of a four-game homestand. But before they would take the field, they would be graced with the presence of one of TV’s biggest stars performing the American National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.” As the helicopter neared, Arnold looked over the crowd of more than 25,000 and tried to convince his wife that maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. Soon before the first pitch, Roseanne belted her take on Francis Scott Key’s anthem, spit on the field and grabbed her crotch. It would be her most controversial moment...until decades later...

Let’s find out: What Happened to...ROSEANNE BARR?

Her original show was one of the few from that era that has aged well. The first five seasons are endlessly rewatchable.

I have watched a ton of these videos. What I LOVE about your channel is that you're willing to talk about the celebs and not add a political spin. You state how it is and let us decide for ourselves. Keep up the good work.

Haha I don't care what anyone says I've caught old reruns of rosane and it actually made me laugh. Very entertaining, hats off to the cast.

Crazy thing is I’m not here from going down a rabbit hole. I actually searched “what happened to Rosanne “🤔

I'll never understand why the final scene of Roseanne is so confusing. They literally say in it that Jackie was a lesbian (not Bev), Darlene was with Mark (not David), and Becky was with David (not Mark). But for whatever reason people cling to Dan being dead and act like it was only the last season that was her book.

Sooo, Roseanne and Sam Kinneson and their kid wild be Gilbert Godfrey. Omg, I'm glad that didn't happen. 5 seconds of that could be used as psych torture

I've always found her voice unbearable. I can't watch her for more than a minute.

Most still dont know that she sang it again years later to redeem herself and actually tried to do a decent job.

Arnold was a bad egg, bad influence. She already had mental issues. She’s funny as heck just being real. God bless her.

Glad you gave She Devil a good review; she honestly is the heart of the movie along with Ed Begley Jr (he's at his best as one of the biggest douche characters of the 80's.) They both give two of their best performances in it, Streep's honestly the low mattering performer and even she's at her funniest in it. Gene Siskel even said Rosie's performance was the highlight of the film for him. Never been so surprised to hear that but it's the truth. Super underrated movie that shouldn't have bombed, like with UHF Orion did a awful job of advertising it and put it on a busy release weekend. If they waited until 1990 it woulda made more $. Rosie hated the experience of filming as it kept her away from her family as it was done during the break of the show, she vowed to never do another long in person film again which is a bummer because I think like with George Carlin she coulda became a unique character actress if she dedicated to it.

I love Rosie. She's made her mistakes but she's overcame them in new ways or another no matter what. She's stubborn as hell and while she's done some dumb stuff her work's always been consistent. My favorite female comic. Joan Rivers was great but she could never act as good as Rosie did. Joan was better at talk show stuff.

Although I don't agree with some of her beliefs, I still have to watch the Halloween episodes every October 😇

I feel like I'm supposed to dislike Roseanne but honestly, I adore this woman. Her views may be VASTLY different from mine, and she may have a bit of a shitty personality at times, but she is someone who stands firm in what she believes in, and honestly she's just really funny. So I guess with growing up with her and seeing her be herself on TV, the rosane of today feels about right. Roseanne is for the blue collar, right wing, conservative, audiences, and honestly she always was, but her personality is so universal to everyone that, even past political lines, you have a certain level of respect for her and can even relate to her. Comedy has found itself being threatened by cancel culture, and now a days it is VERY hard for people to separate someone's political views from their comedy work. I look at it like this, I don't have to agree with your political views to like your comedy, I don't have to automatically dislike you because of your political views, if you're funny, you're just funny period.

Roseanne reboot was great. The Conners is crap. And I thought the B was white also.

I don't think she was ever funny. She claimed she sold her soul for fame. At 12 years old. I believe her.

She's got a new podcast, she's still the greatest female comedian who has ever lived, she's extremely respected by every working comedian worth their salt, and she's kicking ass. That's what happened to her. Sorry, Darlene!
