Not saying it's the best shark movie ever. This has the best most realistic looking SFX, graphic Kill scenes, out of all the recent shark flicks. A somewhat original plot. Which is about all you can hope for. Acting isn't terrible either.

Just finished watching this I thought it was a pretty good movie kept me interested from the beginning right to the end. Think I'll give it a 8 out of 10

A welcome surprise!!
With Jaws being my favourite film of all time..it’s safe to say I’ve always been a sucker for shark movies..but have always been left depressingly underwhelmed.
I rented this on the off chance it would be good…and not only was I rewarded..but so was my hope I would find a film to get even close to Jaws…and boy does this film!
Borrowing from Jaws in putting the characters first..you develop a real bond with them, you are left rooting for them till the end! Unlike other shark films that put the central characters in an unlikely scenario, the details of what’s happens to put these people at the mercy of a terrifying shark is both realistic but all the more nightmarish!
And then we come to shark…is it CGI?…no..hardly! There are real footages of sharks woven with minimal but effective use of some CGI.
Can’t recommend this enough..but don’t think of going into the water too soon..we’ve found a truly terrifying shark movie that will scare a whole new generation of movie goers
out of the water! 10/10 👍🏽

While the movie looks like every shark movie since the very early 2000s....I'll still check it out. Will it be bad? Most likely. But anh...I guess I've always been a fan of bad shark movies...I also love how they shamelessly show the ending/outcome in the trailer.

Edit: NOT TRUE. I actually ended seeing the move, giving it a shot because of decent reviews. Movie is actually above average and there much more outside of the trailer. Recommend it
