This song has special memories for me, I was drafted in 1969 into the army and one of the guys I was sent to Vietnam with played this song on his guitar when we would have a stand down back in base camp. Sadly, he didn't come home, I will always remember him and this song. Job well, done, great sound.

This was the record that started it all for me. I was 6 in 1969, and my Mom had all his albums. I've been a musician most of my life, and at age 6 I used to listen to this album over and over. I had no clue what the songs were about, but somehow they captivated me. I also watched his TV show with my family. He was my first guitar hero. As I got older I moved on to other music genres, mostly rock, but this was the beginning of my interest in music. R.I.P. Glen. I think my Mom still has all those albums.

Glen's vocals and guitar, Al deLory's arrangements and production, and Jimmy Webb's songs. Magic. Be at peace, Glen.

Hi from UK. Glen has many fans here and we never tire of hearing his music. He and Jimmy Webb were destined to make amazing music together. Great song sung by one of the Greats. Thanks for sharing.

One of the greatest songs ever written; along with Highwayman, Wichita Lineman, and By the Time I Get To Phoenix. Jimmy Webb man

Folks, are you aware that there exist many, many legacy artists that unfortunately, the digital age of music has NOT been so kind? For example, one of them is Pop/Country artist, B. J. Thomas. So my studio, LegacyVMP Studio, is on a mission to try and help do our part to change this kind of business climate within the legacy audio industry that we feel is long overdue. I think the time is right for studios like mine (and others!) to take what technology now affords us and turn it into something that can be very positive for the industry as a whole. Will you help us do that?
