You really need a set of wrenches. Over time you'll destroy nuts and bolts with channel locks.

The G0765 tool post can support up to a 5/16 square tool. Can the OXA take larger tools?

I got the same thing but 1/2 carbide tooling wich i think is too big? What size is your i was thinking of getting 3/8

Why ruin the brand new nut on top by using a channel lock pliers?!? You must have a wrench stored in your impeccably clean shop somewhere.
