I had a trigger finger. At the ER the doc shot some pain med into it and then pulled it hard and fast. And voila! It was fixed.

I had this operation. It's worse now 10 years later. I had one on another finger that healed itself over that time. I'd advise against the surgery. Yes I had a recommended hand surgeon specialist. It made it worse long term.

I’ve had this. Don’t get the surgery just pull straight again and not use the finger for a couple days. It’s just a severe cramp caused by strenuous, repetitive use of the hand.

I had this and my partner who is a gold Smith made me a silver spiral ring to keep my finger straight. Totally healed it. You can buy similar on line.

This has happened to me twice before, but I just went through the whole day hoping that I’ll just fix itself on its own. Surprisingly this actually worked✨

I have this on both hands. Have had it since. 2016. This is not a cramp, so I can’t just straighten my finger like some have suggested. Over the years it has gotten worse. So I am getting the surgery.

Or, the tendon sheath is pierced by a needle. The doctor manipulates the finger causing the tendon to vibrate the needle tip. Hydrocortisone is then injected beneath the sheath.

DO NOT get surgery. This condition is caused by tendon exhaustion (deteriorating muscle from overuse), which causes severe cramping.

You just need to pull the finger straight extremely hard, if you can bear the pain. If not, get pain meds. Then you let it rest. Boom, fixed!

I think I've had a very mild version of this before. Sometimes one of my fingers just locks up (painlessly) for a few moments, before it unlocks again. Weird, but I'm glad it wasn't this bad.

When that happens to my finger. I just shake my hand quite hard. And it goes back to normal 😂

My grandmother had it, she’d say “my fingers stuck, can you fix it for me” and just had to pull it.. first time she asked me to do that, I was so terrified to hurt her, she said just push my finger up and pull towards you. She said it never hurt, but she also at this point in her life had nerve damage from diabetes..

My second and third fingers do that when I close my hand. I'm from the high Cascade mountains, we called it Viking Syndrome.
