The wrath rage execution with the Blades of Chaos is my favorite! It looks sick as hell! Wish they added more normal executions like that to show just how skilled Kratos is with the blades

Kratos picking up a rock and angrily throwing it will forever be hilarious to me 🤣

Nothing beats fury, the sheer chad-energy of kratos screaming and whooping ass with his bare hands is the best thing about god of war games

I actually really like that they gave us more options, because a LOT of people just didn't really use it. Giving us one large health burst, or major damage to a single enemy, players seem to use it a little bit more often

Fury: Good for fighting a group of enemies
Wrath: good for fighting almost any boss
Valor: good for when you’re bad at the game

A tip for anyone playing GMGOW, the best thing about the wrath variant is that it gives you the most activations. Why is that good? Because when you are fighting certain bosses they have yellow ring attacks that give you great openings if you parry them but punish you hard if you fail the timing. But, if you fail the timing, you can get out of stun lock by activating spartan rage. Wrath gives you several get out of jail free cards in exchange for the healing that the others gives you. Its really good (i know wrath heals you too but only on kills, on boss fights you are most likely not taking advantage of that)

It's curious well done the fact that when you try to use the wrath with no weapon, Kratos automatically call the Axe. Throughout the game, a few times Kratos makes clear that it is his favorite weapon.

I personally used valor the most during boss fights as a safety net/combo breaker. If you mess up a parry timing, you can use valor before the next attack hits you. You can also use it during sequences where you get stuck in an attack, like if a Valkyrie is spinning next to you, or for red ring attacks, as well as a guaranteed interrupt on the enemy. Plus, an okay strength buff.

One tip about wrath that could help you if you’re struggling with any bosses is if you fail a yellow attack and you’re about to take a guaranteed hit you can use wrath to prevent it. So it becomes a damage life line

Those Fury moves are O button move, imagine if it can be used indefinitely

Turn the speed to .25, you can see the Omega logo as he turns into Spartan Rage

Valor was my go-to from the moment I got it. The healing’s good, but getting the timing down to outright negate attacks was even more fun to figure out. Helped me out a lot with Gna.

I hate how sometimes the Fury attack won't land the series of fast punches that come after the haymaker, instead just throwing another haymaker afterwards. Does far less damage and drains meter faster.

The stomp ability with spartan rage fury variant (L1 button from GOW 2018) was finally unused in GOW Ragnarok for some strange reason...
I hope the ability will be brought back together with some changes. For example: R1 for super punches, R2 for angry jump, L1 for stomp ability, L2 for throw rock and Triangle for grab weak enemies

I feel like this is an option for character growth
Fury means Kratos going full nuke on enemies.
Valor means Kratos holding back his rage and harvesting it to heal himself
Wrath means Kratos converting his rage and implementing weapons to nuke enemies.
So either we harvest our rage and let it serve in battle like Valor or we let our rage get better of us and eliminate the enemy like Fury or we do a bit of both and strategically kill enemies.

There are actually more than 1 animation for each weapon in wrath and stomp enemy's head instead of throwing them in fury. I have seen some player did these randomly

I live the progression of the Spartan Rage from the 4th and beginning of 5th games to the end of the 5th. In 4, Kratos has control over his rage, but that control is simply limited to when those ciolent tendencies explode. He forges weapons for pummeling everything with his fists (and a rock) and abandons any control. When he learns the Valor ability, it does allow for better control, but it doesn't have all too much effect. He can heal himself for a great deal, but it's really just the next best thing for Kratos. Not as powerful or even useful. When he acheives Wrath however, he is able to fully control his rage. He utilizes the anger within himself to unleash a much more powerful attack, without surrendering any control. It's effective and well controlled, and gameplay wise one of the best options

Fury is definitely still the most fun to use in my opinion, but Wrath is the most useful since it can be used as an escape if a boss catches you in a combo. Valor is only really useful if you use the Boon of Valor enchantment.
