If you don't hear sound after connecting your controller, Windows changes your default sound output to the headphone jack on the controller. Just go to your sound settings and change the output device for "Wireless Controller" back to your speakers / headphones.

For anyone who is having trouble getting the controller to work in SWTOR. Once you have completed all the other steps and got the controller to appear and the key mappings. try running DS4 as admin. Because it works while SWTOR is minimized but not when it is restored. Run as admin. You welcome.
