Dalia Ziada's Life Mission: Fighting Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood Despite Death Threats

Dalia Ziada is a prominent Egyptian human rights activist and advocate for peace, who rose as a leader during the Arab Spring. Her fearless stance against extremism and her support for Israel have made her a target of death threats, forcing her to live in an undisclosed location outside of Egypt. Zaida's activism focuses on exposing the dangers of the Muslim Brotherhood, which she criticizes for exploiting Islamophobia and the Palestinian cause to further their extremist agenda. Despite the risks, she continues to speak out against the misuse of Islamic rhetoric to justify violence and oppression, championing democracy and human rights in the Middle East and beyond.

Dalia co-founded and led the Liberal Democracy Institute (LDI) in 2015 and the Center for Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean Studies (MEEM) in 2019. Before that, Dalia served as the Executive Director of the Cairo-based Ibn Khaldun Center for Democratic Studies and as the Regional Director in the Middle East and North Africa for the Washington-based American Islamic Congress (AIC). Dalia is also a member of several regional and international voluntary initiatives for peace and liberalism, such as the CLARITy Coalition and Diplomeds.

This woman is really amazing. Hope truth and justice will prevail. It’s time the Middle East also starts talking about Arab colonisation and supremacy. They still cannot accept a tiny land is controlled by another indigenous people. The thing is Jews are one of many many more Middle Eastern peoples that are constantly being forced to convert to Islam and adopt an Arab national identity.
